TechGuy, 26 Dec 2020Finally, we shall have our sought after 7" True Full-S... moreGetting rid of ugly hole has nothing to do with size increase.
Impossible to trim more than phones already are.
Making them 7" or more is just gonna make them taller than 17cm.

Under display camera is quite cool, but personally I’d prefer a phone with a pop up camera, for privacy reasons.

From that list, I’d love an affordable folding phone. Folding phones are absolutely amazing, but I want to be able to afford one. Alternatively, I’d love the return of phablets, like the old Mi Max line, or something like Mate 20 X. I just want a large screen that I can still fit into a large pocket.

I want a Huawei Mate 40 Pro with a flat screen, OIS for all 3 sensors and a 5000mAh battery.

Finally, we shall have our sought after 7" True Full-Screen devices. For so long mobile gaming was disregarded because phone displays were too small, because for one they had really thick bezels (Iphone 1 through 8) and then after a decade of smartphone evolution we were introduced to the notch which was way better than thick bezels but the notch still covered a considerable amount of area on the display, fast forward to today and we have hole-punch cameras, which are near perfect but sometimes a black dot on your display can get annoying. And this year the dream is happening, since there wont be any thick bezels a 7" display phone's body will be between 7.5-8" so it will not be too big to handle and the 7" size is acceptable to watch movies and play games (Considering its WQHD+ and 120Hz)

i dont need any of features listed above.

For me, single punch hole is enough. Because my phone is using punch hole and i feel satisfied with it.

Why must catch notchless and perfection, even the display of the phone not wide enough for movies.

Using a fake secondary display with mediocre quality cannot be a trend. Companies better develop this technology using AMOLED and stop experimenting on devices like the lackluster Axon gimmick. As stated in a previous comment, graphene would be awesome.

And if you've read the comments, @GSMArena, you'd know that many people don't care about any of those "trends" and simply want a device size more suitable for them.
In short, people want smaller phones, which doesn't seem to be a "trend" enough for you.

I wasn't interested in any of those things and that's not changing still. I want better battery tech (graphene or sodium-ion). With the crazy charge speeds, the technology is extremely necessary.

Just ditch the front camera already.
The pop up, flip up, and wireless detachable camera are way superior in every aspects to the expensive and poor quality privacy killing underdisplay camera gimmick.
Except ultrasonic fingerprint scanners (and proper one, not the poorly implemented Samsung way) nothing should be under the display trying to look though it, you can't get more stupid than that.

If underdisplay camera was just one solution among others, it would be fine, but this thing that is way too wanky to be a norm, will invade the market worse than the punch hole did, like a true parasite.
All that for people to regret this thing.
At first, punch holes and curved edge display also did seem like great ideas.
Everyone try to reassure themselves saying the tech will improve, but they can't even release it to begin with...
This tech will be a disaster.

I am willing to forgo the useless front camera quality for an uninterrupted full screen display.

I waited too long for this moment.

In 2007 when I was walking on the road from school I randomly what if the phone was just a slap with full screen and I imagined what if we put the screen under the display, and I though it was too futurstic and would happen in the next 20 years.

At that time I was carrying a Nokia N72, which was extremely popular in my country

Come 2021.....Here we are we are 6 years early 👍👍.
