Every brand (almost) copies Apple, countless of cloned Airpods from big brands like OnePlus, Xiaomi, super copycat Huawei.
Generally one thing or another such as the look of a smartphone is stolen from Apple, it's original iPhone.
They can sell the device, since everyone knows that it is and what it does after Apple has them, they don't even have be spend much on R&D.
First real smartphone with real touch screen ( I would personally ignore other phones that you claim to be one, like those with black and white screen and small touch screen and with no camera on it )

Recently Apple has proved the ability to dominate the market with most valuable devices, like MacBook Air, iPhone 11, iPhone 12, iPad Air. It's like they are on the new level of value, even with the brand on it. ;)

Foolish people think Apple is small fry, got denial when Apple sell millions of smartphones, thinking it's all zombies and magic.
Nokia, Microsoft, Tesla.. all make fun of this company. All hope for the death of Apple, but nevertheless, it keep improving.
Haters keep hating. Calling this 3nm a flop. Just like they call iPhone 5 a tall remote control, or iPad the huge iPhone, or the AirPods toothbrushes, or the death of 3.5 jack. But what happens? Their own favourites brand also follow Apple like a slave.. cloning the exact things, so what to do? Haters have to eat their own words, and praise their fav brands.. saying "oh so cheap compared to Apple." Yeah.. ALWAYs compared to Apple.
A good SoC not only improve performance, it also improve battery consumption. Thats the strength of Apple's Silicon. They control the OS, they control the hardware, see their MacBooks.. once they ditch intel, they double their performance while reducing battery consumption.

This is not technically correct. Apple has signed a right to first refusal foe the 3nm node process. Which solely means it probably will have the guest right, over production, when the 3nm node chips can be both tested and produced.
That should be in 2022-23. Not now. And probably not next year either.

No enterprise bulk orders MacBooks for their employees like they do with Windows....Apple may be great for certain select audiance in the professional circles like video editors, but MS-Intel caters to much wider audience successfully across the globe for decades and at far far higher volumes in the last 20 plus years or even more(nearly 90% market share). Not ready to switch or dump their miniscule customer base like Apple. They don't have that luxury but having said that, they were still lazy enough.... Glad AMD is over taking them in the PC World.

I am not interested in overpriced mobiles or tablets from Apple anymore. They can make great SoC for sure but their fear of the stuff so behind the competition and asking for too much just for the processor alone but making clever tricks like ecosystem bs. They can do all they can with their 3nm, 1nm, 0.5nm SoC, and keep their stockholders happy with their gadgets. I world rather buy Apple stock for $1000 than any of their useless gadgets...

IpsDisplay, 23 Dec 2020Only on paper some battery hungry technology always offsets... moreStill, that's something that you will definitely appreciate, as you get more functionalities while consuming just as much power from the battery as before.
Besides, most of those extra features can be disabled when not unnecessary anyways, so users can still enjoy the efficiency gains of the newer fabrication process while doing the same daily routine on their mobile phones.
As for the development of new batteries, not only is it very costly, but it also takes a lot of time and patience. Even if one already exists now, it definitely won't be used on any smartphone as early as today, as it would still be in beta phase, and would need extensive testing on its quality and reliability when used by a casual phone user. Aside from that, this is also a newly developed technology, in which the companies involved in the development have invested so much for it to happen, so most likely the price of those things would be sky rocket high, just like how foldable phones are today. I certainly wouldn't buy something new that's still in its early days of existence in this world, and we'll have to wait for about 5 years at least before switching to something new.

So Apple is doing something what Intel didnt.. While Intel was ahead, they increased performance for ~10% every year. Come on, they were very very lucky that it lasted for such a long time (years).

Optimalized 10nm > 8nm Samsung Exynos 980 that smoked SD 765G
Samsung 3nm GAAFET will blown out 3nm EUV TSMC by yields and Power Efficiency .
