Romeo, 24 Dec 2020Means this could also happen to other youtube channels as well?exactly.... and is so amazing that, google doesn't give a shit about the situation ( eventhough they already gave the gsmarena team the information of those hijackers yet they still doesn't solved the MCN Issue )

You're uploading again, is this issue resolved? (If yes you may need to update this post. 🤔

advisor, 25 Dec 2020you should ask them to delete the channel and start over, y... moreActually you can ask to move all the content from one channel to another, new one. They should be able to retain all comments, view data etc. You should also ask YouTube to assign you a channel manager- such would be able to escalate better

I'm really sorry to hear this. It must be infuriating. It's unbelievable that Google would treat the content creators they depend on this badly. What am I saying, of course it's believable.

I agree with others. You really need a lawyer to deal with Google. They set up the MCN system, which you had no control over, and created this problem for you. Google is liable for all of the revenue you lost, plus the cost of your time an efforts in resolving this, plus lawyers fees (since they can't be bothered to take care of this on their own and have forced you to need lawyers).

I also wonder if there are various government agencies you can contact. Since it's a cybercrime, you can perhaps report this to the FBI. Maybe you can also file a complaint with the FCC and the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau. I would go after Google with every available option at once.

kiloh3rtz, 26 Dec 2020You got in the water and went swimming with the sharks...I... moreI'm not sure if there's any context behind your comment, but what is it even supposed to mean? The whole shark story seems like some gibberish nonsense. You need to be tough to be a YouTuber? That's an ironic statement. As they mentioned in the video, the main issue was the fact that they went through an MCN (they had no access to) instead of linking to AdSense directly, but that was the only option given to them at the time. And you simply can't deny the fact that YouTube or at least their support team is basically useless, they don't even care.

Imo, you guys should definitely file a suit against youtube. They can get the money they KNOW was stolen from your pub ID by being rerouted. They need to be takrn to court over this and a precedent made.
What a crummy thing to discover over the holidays. Hang in there you all! And maybe seek support of influencers etc. to pressurize youtube in doing the right thing for once.

I once had to deal with google because they took over usenet or deja and stole copyrights. Finally i wrote letters and it took a year until something happened. Still not everything sorted out.

Why don't you approach law enforcement. File a complaint against YouTube for not paying you. Simple. They will have to say who they were paying to. Then let those people come forward and stake ownership of your intellectual property ie the videos. If they don't then you will get conteol. It'll be easier if you drag YouTube to court and the court orders them to hand you the profits.

                                  dailymotion?

This is a good time to go open source... if you wish to.
Many such sites exist which don't compromise user data so much as youtube does.
                                    Why not move to them?

Unfortunate and interesting situation. I would think there are possibly other YouTube Channels that have that same dummy account situation. Extremely good hackers are always trying to find a new way to make money. Thanks for sharing guys. Hope you guys get it worked out!
