Yup...had this update on a device that was meant for the French market, and I live in Asia. The battery life is not that great though, but it's true, I gained more free RAM and it's a bit speedier.

**UPDATE**
Received 4.0.4/sense 4.1 update in the UK this morning! Hoping it resolves my reception issues (i.e. while travelling the signal drops and the phone doesn't reconnect to the network unless I reset/restart it).
Other than that, I have no issues (battery life fine/browsing fine etc) with the phone.

HTC, you better wake up... How come Asia still dont have the update and only for Europe market. So meaning that you dont care for Asia market users.

Regarding any updates to the Desire S - HTC's support sux delux. I can't see an ICS update for the Desire S ever happening. HTC and its support will be the very best reason why I will be moving over to Apple's new iPhone when it comes out. HTC - once and OEM, always and OEM.

I think you will find the UK update has already gone out to generic handsets, networks will be testing the software before they push it out.
