A mistake like Samsung S6 by removing a memory card slot, how sad maybe now I know why they introduced their product after apple because they want to copy apple, you guys might think hey apple launch in August samsung Jan but you guys have to remember august 2020 and jan 2021 is why i said launch after apple, what a flagship is not flagship anymore, we willing to pay 1000 of dollars but they not willing to throw in a headphone and a wall charger which only take $1 or so to make! So sad, Ps I'm a ling time samsung fan since Samsung V200 models

Who wan... moreThis may be true if you look at phones 5 years ago, but look at phones from 2017/2018 onwards. There is little incentive to change since then. Innovation has plateaued, and unless there is a revolutionary reason for upgrading, most people will be keeping their phone longer as iterative changes are minimal.
Barring tech junkies, most will be keeping their phones longer.

I've always purchased good brand names in memory cards (except 1 time, man I hate Wish) and they have never failed me. If you know what your buying (classes) then there is no issue.
I'm not about to give up expandable memory for cloud based as it doesn't work for my lifestyle.

They all look the same, even 5 years ago. Unless it's some weird concept phone.

So yes I'll continue using them and only buying phones and other devices with expandable storage despite the system they use if they are practical for me. I want useful features not a phone or device with two overpriced main components that in reality cost half to manufacture of produce that what they ask you.

SD cards let you free space in the main memory for apps that need those speeds and still have plenty of more memory. It's called a useful feature. Like the audio jack. But now they give you a featureless cheap overpriced pseudo flagship with a ridiculous telephoto camera and only blind people will bite that tricky hook to fool them. It should cost no more than $500 for what they offer now. But we have luck as there are still manufacturers that offer better phones for your money and profit how greedy and no sense others are. Those will gain market. Samsung already tried similar things in the past and flop. Maybe be they should end selling only overpriced midranges...

Who wan... moreOut of all the phones out their what design change has happened? The flip phones from Samsung and Motorola? The fold's (Both the Samsung and failed Hauwei iteration)? Maybe the LG Wing???
Design concept is dead. Seems we've plateaued with the glass slab design.
And what features are worth investing in at this time? Gross pop up cams? Terrible under display camera quality? Loss of expandable memory?
Maybe they can put 100% of resources into a phone that can zoom into the sun to watch solar flares, but why stop there. I want to see Hauwei Mate 50 PRO XL take a clear picture of Saturn's rings.
Innovation is dead.

If they are trying to go into this price segment, they need to beef up their offer and not by stripping functionnality ... If I can't have a MicroSD slot, I'll go elsewhere. I hope I will not be the only one so that Samsung can mesure this impact. but after S20 and the poor sale figure ... I think they will not see this into sales.
