Huawei 135W charger certified in China

Huawei is looking to up its charging game.

To everyone thinking it's constant wattage or constant voltage. It's not like that. It'll be like 135w upto 45% battery charge then 70w upto 90% and so on. Usually both voltage and current are high initially and gradually both of them decrease until they reach 5v 2A(generally). Not necessarily worse than other chargers wrt battery damage but they require stricter precaution about using the phone while charging. On the plus side you get a palm heater.

It's the output voltage and current that dictate output wattage, not the input voltage. Or input amperage for that matter. You need 12V at 10A to output 120W from the charger...

Amazing how this compa... moreThey're really suffering in the last couple of months in China though for supply. So difficult to buy any Huawei/Honor phones here as they are all out of stock due to no chips. Their phones have been increasing in price as well when they do have limited batches of stock. Things should improve for Honor when they are fully separate and release their new products but it seems likely to continue to be tough for Huawei unless the chip situation improves

I think for the Chinese brands in their home market the failing batteries are not a big issue as it costs about $15-20 to go to a Huawei/Oppo/Xiaomi/Vivo service center to have one replaced. However in some markets changing a battery can be a real nuisance and not that cheap

                                        But with a gaming notebook it makes sense, here in a phone it's just another way to kill the battery so people get a new phone soon enough...
