They use the worst and cheapest LCD they can to cut down on the cost. The main reason why I'll never use a Chinese brand phone. Also, the software is terrible as well.

I never had any problem with OLED. Didn't notice flickering. Also, Xiaomi uses the worst LCD they can find.

So, another silly "update" to generate a headline and a few clicks about what are essentially parts-bin dives by Xiaomi (which is becoming the worse major Chinese practitioner of the practice). Maybe a few confused and easily excitable fans will "upgrade" with their last pennies, based on paper specs and momentary hype.
In the meantime, Xiaomi continues to push even security updates every three months or so for their existing phones (as opposed to Google's monthlies), and then drops support after less than two years.

Xiaomi is just a brand for those who don't know it, somewhere for those who have encountered its phones, maybe for those who've tried a defective model, and really good for those with a taste for its skin on Android, and just that quality. The Note 9 series uses GG5 while the Realme 6 sticks to GG3 and plastic backs. That's nuts. I love this phone, and that's my preference.

why are they adding a 108mp sensor if they are not going to have it push at least 4k 60 or above. if they only want to push 4k 30fps then they should just push a 12mp camera in it. it would look better at least
