Optimus Vu II to come with universal remote app, IrDA port

The Vu II will come with QRemote, an app which allows you to control home appliances remotely via infrared.

      you guys have to read careful... this is done by IrDA port. infra red remote control.
      if your stupid iPhone control an LG TV sure is not by IrDA.

          my sony tablet s has been doing this with everything in my house and at various hotels around the world since i got it. learning feature too. old tech..... cool in a phone tho.

            I have an app on my iPhone that controls my LG tv and my surround sound, hardly anything new.
            And no i am not an Apple fanboy before you deicide to open your mouth.

                    Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 already has this feature and has hundred of compatable devices. I have been able to control pretty much everything in my house even th cheap brand tv gathering dust in th guest room. This was a great unxpected surprise when I got home and opened my Note as it was the last thing I expected.

I onky noticed when I got home and opened it and thought how old school and the seen the app . Excllent extra to get Hopefully samsung start i in their phones again.

                        mmm... looking at the screenshots it seems this is a 4:3 screen format phone. Not the best option (at least for me).

                            Actually, I miss this feature in today's smartphones. It was cool with windows and palm based PDAs before then.

                                    Try harder LG. IR is not a big enough improvement to consider this awkward gadget.
