I don't know why apple fanboys are so happy, apple won the court..Now can you tell me how this benefits you in any way ? Even if those devices are banned,it will be US only...And they are not even the latest ones anyway, the s3 is here and the note II is coming(talking about samsung only here).Android is dominating and there isn't anything apple can do to stop it.

Looks like the American consumers are losing out "big time" soon. Lucky I am not living in America!

I am surprised the list is so small and relates to older or mid range devices. Frankly so what. Is this all it is about. Samsung is not stupid, which is why they are ready with new WP8 Tablets and WP8 smartphones. In fact I think they will be the winners in all of this in selling more products particularly WP8, if finally MS has got their act together and it is as good as the rumors say. Android will naturally loose market share, and Apple had better stop resting on it laurels as it will also loose market share. Android helped Samsung enormously, thanks to Google's generous assistance, so I wonder what sort of licensing deal Samsung has with MS. Other device makers must also be wondering.

This is valid only in States right? Why are people bringing WP8 into this. I don't like WP8 and its horrible tiles. Since Nokia is not building their phones anymore, I have no interest in this duet. I can't also understand why people are talking about fragmentation, different type of hardwares, etc. Different type of hardware is way good because that allows the production of phones to attend different consumers in different price ranges. It doesn't matter if one SO will run on the same hardware for all vendors if the hardware is too expensive for most people to buy. I think that phones running android should be like a computer running any SO. Android plus drivers.

apple the evil empire. consumers all over the world just lost a big battle against monopoly.
and why just those models? I can name a dozen more that look more similar to iphony. apple is trying to take out their biggest competitor.

Anonymous, 28 Aug 2012I don't know how good Windows Phone 8 will be. I can tell y... moreThe problem is Android hardware fragmentation. Google decided to go with many different SoCs (Tegra, Exynos, Snapdragon, TI OMAP, ect) and many different types of graphics chips. Even if Samsung, HTC, and everyone else went with Stock Android, they still would have to wait months for software updates because of the said hardware fragmentation. Android is not like Windows Phone where they have more restriction on hardware so that every WP is basically the same. All WP run on same resolution and a Snapdragon SoC. On Android you have to use different ROM for different devices. On Windows Phone, one ROM file could update all the WP devices. This Android's hardware fragmentation also causes problems like force closes and freezes on games from the like of EA and Gameloft.

Seriously? Those are outdated phones. It's a loss for Samsung but not that much. At least they learned their lesson and will make new ones and much better.

U nuts Apple? Common man can certainly see & understand the difference between a Samsung and an iPhone. Like Samsung told, its unfortunate that Patent laws can be manipulated to give APPLE MONOPOLY OVER RECTANGLE WITH ROUNDED CORNERS :-(
The loser in the whole ordeal is the American consumer who would have no choice other than buying an iPhone!

Samsung stock just fell 7.5% and lost $12 billions. Windows Phone 8 will look good for the carriers now.

This is getting ridiculous, most of those phones look nothing alike any Apple product.
But those SOBs think they can do anything because it's happening in an American court which will always say that Apple is right
