(2) Who are you quoting calling the Nord amazing. Sure as heck ain't me. Can't compare trash to trash expecting someone to think one of the pieces of trash are no longer trash. You're also using that same logic by comparing the 980 to the 765G.
(3) Something tells me you haven't used the Note 8 Pro.
(4) Love how you point out single performance. Because you know the multi core performance is abysmal.

It is on par with the sd765 which is in the $400 'amazing' OnePlus Nord, and I have also used the rn8 pro which cannot match this phone in performance at all. Miui makes that phone so much slower then it has a right to be. Even if you bothered to read gsmarena's review you would know the exynos 980 is not a bad chipset at all, and it has the best single core performance of any midrange chip, being on par with the 765 as they said. Just because the 990 is garbage doesn't mean this is, stop spreading false rumours about something you haven't even used.

Only the LG Wing and the Note20 (Ultra, most likely) got actual awards. The rest are simply honorees
And I think you guys mistaken the text under the phones for the marketing presentation of the device. All other descriptions from other honorees/winners read exactly like what you would expect from their respective marketing teams.

So what are the Notes doing there? They do nothing compared to the S20 Ultra which at least has the merit of having a large zoom even if it is useless, Especially the Note 20, it is just a smartphone from 2018 with 5G. The Xperia 1II and 5II will have more merit with their Cinema Pro and Photo Pro application which pushes those who think they are a photographer on the Pixels and Huawei to question themselves.

They could have included innovative products like LG Wing to make this rating look natural. But A51 is nothing but a bad quality phone with cheap components and attractive tech specs - what Chinese manufactures were doing for years. And Note 20 only deserves award for marketing innovation - for offering premium midranger for an ultra premium price.

This has to be a joke.
A $350 A51 5G with an overheating slow Exynos 980 is praised for its value? Hardly faster than the nearly two year old sub $200 Redmi Note 8 Pro? And according to dxomark, perfectly equivalent cameras.
The awards are about innovation yet the first phone ever with an under display camera doesn't get an award? Yet the LG Wing with its useless gimmick of a design does?
And get this,
"The TCL 10 5G UW, available at only one carrier in the United States deserved its award thanks to its unusual camera design and apparently the ability to have a fancy name for every basic feature - the 6.53” Full HD+ NXTVISION display, the Super Bluetooth audio sharing capabilities and the versatile NXTVISION 48 MP AI-powered triple rear camera."
Tell me what part of that deserved an award. Tell me how the names of parts and the orientation of the cameras on the back make it deserve an award.
Give me a break. This is an absolute joke.

I.B.I.S = in-body image stabilization.
8K is credit of CPU makers (Qualcomm and Samsung), not Samsung Mobile.
Any phone with SD865 and more than 44MP can do it if OEM wants.
Also pointless because low quality, lack of 10bit nor RAW option to get rid of poor processing and high compression.

- no free form lens, they do crop to cut the edges , where distortion is stronger , also this software correction corrects the bit distortion of the center. Not even professioanal lenses can eliminate distortion physically. It is all software.
- meizu idea is not useful
- Sony: Heat Supression is more important than non-cut screen and jack. These two are just obligation all brands should do.
- Oppo had flip cameras years ago before Zenfone 6/7
- Poco F2 Pro is just a cut cost flagship that is not popular like real flagships.
- except iphone 12 pro and moto edge+, all other phones above $880 do better photos than X2 Pro.
- nubia has small bezel because second speaker is beside usb and front camera is very small.

half the phones on there are just regular run of the mill phones. the list should go like this (in my opinion):
Iphone 12 pro max(first phone on the 5nm process chipsets and sensor shift OIS)
Zfold2 5G(Paving the way for folding phones)
LG wing(the first swiveling phone to hit the market)
ZTE Axon 20 lineup(first phones with an under display camera)
S20 ultra (first phone to record 8K)
Iphone 12 mini (the smallest 5G phone in the world)
ROG phone 3(arguably the most powerful ANDROID phone)
Galaxy Z flip (the best all around folding phone)

Except the LG Wing and MAYBE the Z Flip, none in the actual list deserve to be there...
If you want REAL reasons, here is a list of innovations :
Huawei P40 Pro Plus for his Periscope.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro for its Free Form camera.
Vivo C50 Pro for its Gimbal.
Meizu 17/17 Pro for his punch hole integrated with the battery icon.
iPhone 12 for modern small size. (it is sad, but at this point, this is an innovation too).
Sony 1 II/5 II for keeping bezels and Jack (yes, this too is sadly an innovation at this point).
Lenovo Legion for the horizontal form factor orientation.
Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra for its unprecedented camera setup.
Honor X10 who improved on the pop up rather than ditching it for no reasons.
Asus Zenfone 7/7 Pro with the flip up, for the same reasons as the Honor X10.
Poco F2 Pro for having all the features except on the camera department (lack Telephoto) and a flat uninterrupted display which too is sadly an innovation nowadays.
Oppo Find X2 Pro who introduced an amazing unique camera.
Nubia Red Magic 5 for its slim bezels and keeping REAL Ambient light and Proximity sensors on it.
Even the Samsung Galaxy M51 for its amazing big battery who didn't sacrifice it for making uselessly slim phone.
But a "great value", since when it is fricking innovation ?
The OnePlus 8 Pro ? The A51 ??? The Note 20 ??????
“outstanding design and engineering in consumer technology products.”
