The physical one on the iPhone SE is the slowest one in my experience between the A71 and the SE. The accuracy is similar. I scanned my fp twice, one time without and one time with my screenprotector, and 90-95% of the time, the scanning is succesful. The scanners improved a lot in the last years

Anonymous, 17 Jan 2021Isn't that the point? I thought it was obvious. It can... moreImprove it by making it more... flawed? Dot projector needs to detect entire face and it cannot do so with mask covering half of it. You could make it work, at expense of accuracy. You don't need to be an expert to understand that. No data points coz they are covered by mask means you're making it less demanding for accuracy.

If it's so easily done, why no one else has done even half of how good FaceID is? The closest anyone has gotten was Huawei which is irrelevant at the moment due to US nonsense and Google which killed it like 3/4 of everything they make.

Apparently an Anonymous nobody knows more about biometrics than Apple engineers doing it for years. Sure pal and magic pixies are real. Removing half of the biometric data because it's obstructed by mask is a security risk that Apple is not willing to take even if users were. But by your logic, half of the fingerprint should also unlock the phone... Or just 2 numbers out of 4 with a PIN. If you don't get it how dumb that logic is you're a helpless case. Which you already are reading your nonsense daily...

Anonymous, 17 Jan 2021So anyone who criticizes Apple is a hater? No, just you, constantly finding dumbest and lamest excuses to relentlessly bash Apple in every single article there is on GSM Arena. One thing is constructive criticism, another is your childish whining.

Anonymous, 17 Jan 2021So anyone who criticizes Apple is a hater?Criticizing about something is completely different than what these known anonymous trolls are doing who are in every Apple article. They try to hide under anonymous, but they wrote too much so they made themself known. That’s what salty Apple obsession does.

If you haven’t noticed that people who are Android users and who have been actually using iPhone before, talks very differently about iPhone even when they think Android is better. That’s ok. Not everyone likes same, but trolling in every Apple article about device which you have never owned is just sad and shows how envy and bitter they are.

I think they just doesn’t want to accept that smartphones aren’t made for them anymore and what they think is important and kept raving about companies are actually removing those features or just making them worse. S21 line is perfect example about this, it was huge slap against Sammy boys face and what they stand for.
