Face ID is not going anywhere, but nice to see Apple is adding second option too. Especially now in uncertain times when face ID clearly isn't as good as it normally is.

Even Apple know in a few years time there will be no face ID and it will all be gone their fanboys need to learn that.

Iam sure that iphone 13 will be featuring a side mounted fingerprint sensor like sony smartphones rather than in display finger print.

Despite pandemic and masks, I really wouldn't want FaceID to be gone. I just find it more practical, especially when phone is on desk and I can't touch it coz I have dirty fingers. Unlocking with knuckles or when even that was not an option I woke it up with my nose lol. Then FaceID does the rest. Would be nice if Apple did FaceID or TouchID on same device. And if you want to be stupid paranoid, FaceID+TouchID together to unlock. That would be a first and a super secure method.

All those of you who supported the 3.5mm Jack removal but now don't want the charging and data port removed (and you can be sure Android will copy that thing if Apple do it in all their iPhone 13 models), you had it coming, too late to whine about it, in fact you shouldn't even have the right to complain about that, all of you who did that are directly responsible for this.
And I am dying to see portless smartphones advocates doing the same to you that you did to those who wanted to keep the 3.5mm Jack port.
