Jesvin J., 18 Jan 2021Why is every brand launching their phones early this year? ... moreBecause of the new chip release, a flagship phone need to have the newest specs to justify it's high price, there isn't any significant one in term of camera or sound, there are some improvement in the display but putting a higher resolution and refresh rate in a phone is a bit Overkill.

Jesvin J., 18 Jan 2021Why is every brand launching their phones early this year? ... moreProbably because Samsung launched their phone early this year. That leaves alot of open space in the year for other people to move up and take. Samsung usually launches around March I believe

AnonD-923722, 18 Jan 2021I don't know why asus is that stupid to ditch the head... moreUh... That's not why the jack was removed.
As I might have actually told you in another comment section, the external 5G modem messed up the spacing. Now that the 888 has an integrated modem, it should be possible now to bring back the jack.

A "Gaming" Phone requires: ergonomic controls, long battery life, good audio-visual.
ASUS is going backwards on this front. We need microSD slot to expand storage, a must have for emulators. We need 3.5mm Headphone Jack to listen discreetly. We need to have in-the-box the charger, cable, and controller. We need User Removable Battery, so that we can have long gaming sessions away from home. While doing that, keep the great featurettes: front-firing stereo loudspeakers, 120Hz Dynamic Refresh Rate, Large Battery.
