I had an Huawei Smart P 2018 edition. Nice phone for the money, good screen and a faster and smoother o/s than my previous phones.
In December having checked out what was available (I missed the black Friday sale event) for a new phone.. I managed to find a phone suitable to replace the phone I had. I purchased a Honor 20 e phone. Open to all networks, faster o/s, decent screen possibly larger than my smart p, and for the price, it has decent specifications compared to similar priced phones. So far I haven't had any issues, and I would recommend this phone if you are looking to purchase a new phone, without the hassle of a contract or spending astronomical prices for a new phone (which are basically a camara which can make calls and texts etc lol). The 2021 version of the Honor 20 e (mine is the 2020 version) has a really nice screen, possibly more features etc, but there is a price difference between them. If you can afford that little extra price difference, I would recommend opting for the 2021 version of the Honor 20 e phone.

In response to Android, there are 2 versions of Android, the one used by other manufacturers (Android with Google services), and Androis AOSP (Android Open Source Project), which is open to everyone, but without GSM and with later updates

Berserker, 19 Jan 2021Plot twist :honor is gonna get all Google licences and will... morePossible. Or, since it has now gms, it will surpass Huawei. So, Honor will now be the new Huawei (pre us ban) and then Huawei will be now be Honor (pre us ban). Talk about trading places. I love using both brands, but right now I have Honor 8X, 20 Lite and 8C.

Xiaomi dont want more trouble for sure, and maybe thats why Honor is trying alone but...in those days of Xiaomi, OPPO, Realme and POCO, Honor will not stand a chance...

Ok! Wait a minute.....if Google play services is made by Google, so is android versions.
Why then is Huawei using Android while they are banned from using GPS.

I think that they should make a new software skin that looks like stock android. That'll get them attention

I'm not sure if this is good news or not considering that Honor is still a Chinese company. So even if the presence of Google Services is good news, I might think this could be a short-term joy. History might repeat again but hey... I could be wrong.

all I am hoping now is a new OS that is accepted globally, aside from Android and iOS.

Even if honor has google services, if someone decided to ban it.
everything will be back to square one.
