Some Galaxy S21 units only support NFC terminals for Samsung Pay, MST is getting phased out

This is a regional variation - e.g. S21 phones in the US lack MST, ones in the UK do have it.

The Canadian model also supports MST, according to the Newsroom Canada specs list. So chipset is definitely not the reason, as it too carries a Snapdragon 888. I think it might be disabled by software (CSC).
