I know that the brand usually has superior quality, but they seem having difficulty adopting to latest trend...just like many jp companies used to be big failing these days
I feel their stubbornness.
I know some people will like this phone, but not the majority for sure

Lol, "thick" bezels?
From a usability stand point, having bezels is MUCH MORE preferable especially when you tend to stick your palms on the screen sides. It's a nightmare to operate like this on those fancyschmancy curved bezelless displays which does nothing but make it (contentiously) aesthetically pleasing. And say by to your screen when you drop your bezelless screen on the floor with less metal to protect it. Oh, you have a phone case for that? Then you just added those "thick" bezels and sacrificed that curved screen "aesthetics". Funny!

Sony should just stop making phones. Bad design, bad hardware, nobody is buying them. Worst of all Sony has probably the worst customer support ever. Android on other phones works like a dream while Sony somehow manages to a nightmare hellscape out of it..

With XA2 I don't have to end apps or take care about them, it just works. Many people still think that more RAM means faster phone, but usually it does not.

soo there will not be any more compact Sony phones? I quite disappointed I heard rumors that they will make compact comeback bu they are still sticking to that retarded format of ultralong displays just make foking xz1 compact without bezels with better camera and mid range specs it would sell better then anything they have now, nobody buys Sony since they started making phablets like everyone else. can somebody make some decent phone big as iphone12 mini?

I don't doubt that they do a good job optimizing it tho since the old Xperia ZR feels really snappy with 2GB RAM until I load too much in which my previous 3GB Xperia Z2 did well utilizing it but it does get full sometimes after gaming sessions. My Oppo on the other hand with 8GB RAM with that much headroom I usually don't close my games and it runs just as fine however the OS itself isn't as snappy as the ZR which I find odd given the huge time gap in performance. Snappy as the ZR felt on the OS side, on other aspects given its age it wasn't fast but it was impressive that it could hold up back in 2019 when I had it.

Heck, the ROG Phones all have this kind of bezel precisely because it's aimed at a target market for whom mistouches are (literally in some games) death.
