vrvly, 21 Jan 202164mp, 5x zoom at that price. They should think again. For 64MP, not sure though, Sony hasn't implemented any Quad-Bayer sensor yet or high megapixels sensor since XZ3. Possibly 12 MP with bigger sensor. But, yeah, I won't rule out yet as specs leak are still scarce except S690 chipset.
For 5x telephoto however, I wish I could see that for Sony mid-ranger. But seeing Xperia flagships still haven't own one (with periscope telephoto) yet, I think it will be on their flagships first, then the mid-ranger, and possibly, low-end L series. Like the 2x telephoto of 10 II system was brought from the OG Xperia 1, and possibly 3x in 10 III from 1 II.

Yes, Sony fails with sales and maybe this is failure of bad marketing. But technically - this is hi-end product.

There were no early leaks cause Sony has adjusted CAD file sharing policies with accessories vendors. This was probably controlled leak as well cause no one cares about 10 everyone wants to see 1.

This is actually an amazing budget device! Water-resistant unlike say pixel, OLED display not poor LCD, for a $330 price. Chipset is better than what get in say samsung A42 5G, for similar price. Xperia 10 III is probably the highest tech phone for that price-point, it's amazing to see innovation in budget and higher quality. Nord is $450+ so not that cheap either. Love how Sony brings such value product at lowest price! SD700 series would make the price go up as-well, they might make another phone at higher price with that chip. But headphone jack, expandable storage, front-facing speakers, charger in box. These are features even flagships don't offer nowadays. Highest bang-per buck award should go to this device. I'm sure OLED display is expensive and premium, even lower model iphone's don't have OLED such as iPhone 11 or SE.

Most people will think this is dated design and boring, but we at least need one company that refuses to follow the trend. I prefer this design until the UDC becomes the normal. Hope they stick with no-notch or punchhole design on the 1iii and 5 iii.

Looks great. Nice and clean, typical Sony. Their format is also much easier to handle than all those too big phones. Hopefully Sony remains in this business. There isn‘t much choice if you want better build quality, nice industrial design and clean Android. Cheap Chinese brands flooding the market, HTC is history, Nokia/HMD could become history again. Pixels are phones that you have to like, I don‘t really like them and Google seems lazy. So this year maybe OnePlus, Sony or upper midrange Nokia, if they release something. Or after many years back to iPhone.

A bit much from GSMa to call these huge bezels. They look minimal and elegant and way better than punch holes and notches.
