Just like most buy tv with normal size bezels and couldn't care less while those few drools over for example Samsung newest bezeless qled TV.
Also i know 5 iPhone 12 buyers who came from Android and no-one of them have any issues with notch. Just like you said iOS is really well designed around the iOS so it doesn't bother really.

Manchito, 21 Jan 2021A small notch is still a notch. But realistically, do iPhone users really, actually care about the notch? I mean, surely a seamless screen would be great, but clearly it's not such a big of a deal for all iPhone users otherwise they'd use any of bunch of Android phones that have a tiny punch hole, teardrop notch or some other clever design as flip up or popup cameras. As iPhone XR user, I can say is that it really doesn't bother me. FaceID, despite masks and all that currently is a really amazing feature and I could forgive the existence of notch and I have. And despite people complaining over it, I really don't look at it as intrusion into display as much as I look at it as extension of display in the corners where battery and signal icons are. Without the notch "horns" or "ears", they'd be eating into actual display surface. Instead, always on display status icons are there. I know it sounds very apologetic, but it's actually really that. It's why notch even happened back then. I mean, why else you'd put an obstruction into a display surface?! But expanding it just enough to put those status icons you always want to see without exception there, that makes a lot of sense. The thing is, as you move the other way, making notches smaller, they do become an obstruction instead of extension. Because then you're extending as much of the display as possible into that region and the obstruction is just there, obstructing everything. Nitpicky argumentation, but it really is that way. I'd be fine if selfie cams stopped existing entirely, but I can't wait to see phones have under display selfie cams. So I can just disable it entirely and forget about it. It'll be glorious when that becomes a standard.
