I love nokia 6600 when it released. If they get patent for smartphone then there will be no apple now. Most of companies using other patents non intentionally ofcourse few intentionally. If apple list out all companies then i may wish them, but apple particularly against with samsung. Even if samsung pay 1 billion per year to apple, still also be No 1 company soon. Apple may be choosed any other way to solve the patent issues other than court.

What in the world is apple trying to prove as if they were the sole owners of touch screen technology. Don't forget the days from 2005 - 2007 when touch screen devices like hp ipaq and O2 xda were the premium handheld devices with phone functionality (windows mobile pocket pc). In 2006 I owned a Motorola A780 which had touchscreen options and it was a great smartphone at that point of time. What apple did was by studying and benchmarking all those devices available at that time and then designing and launching a device with ease of use which was the first iPhone. Certainly Steve jobs didnt invent anything new or innovate anything that was extraordinary. It was a great marketing effort done by apple by creating a hype and craze for idevices.

When I first thought it I thought I was being foolish. Now I am not so sure. Apple hate Samsung et al. not because they copied them but becuase their devcies are not locked down like the iPhone and Apple despise people having a choice. Hence why that stated how great MS phone and Nokia are. All locked down, just how Apple like it! Hence why they never go after RIM. Hence why they never go after Symbian devices. It is all about control. Name one product range in anything Apple produce where you have a significant choice in what they offer?

Apple is right.
If all the companies will start in believing ideas like samsung then there will be no innovation.
Apple has developed those proprietary inventios after years of hard work.
If samsung want to use them pay to apple and us legally.

Apple have simply patiented every existing technology created by others but with "a multi touch enabled mobile device" at the end. Ie they didn't invent a call log manager, but they patiented it. Been on every phone forever, but since they added "a multi touch enabled mobile device " it's somehow a new patent?? Apple were granted this call manager patient after the trial by the US patent office, apple have resubbmitted their claim including the s3 using the call manager patient. It's wrong and crazy.

I've owned many Samsung Galaxy devices, so obviously I'm not the rotten apple supporter. To be frank, I dislike the communism os like ios or the mac os. You're so wrong with your logic. It should be the other way round.
Anyone who said iphone was good cuz they have no idea about how should a Smartphone from Samsung, HTC, LG work like. Once you experienced the convenience and the greatness of what a Samsung Android Smartphones can do, and also willing to accept the true facts of iphone limitation and short coming, you'll spit on iphone and then ditched it. Apple are stucked with a piece of JUNK that copy some other people designs and put together and named it iphone.

I think apple is afraid of SAMSUNG.like da other parts of the world samsung is going to win over usa mobile phone market which causes headache of apple.did apple forget that usa is the land & father of the idea open market economy?i think apple is not brave & competent enough to face competition from samsung

What morons in a court room allow a company to patent soemthing they blatantly did not invent and then grant them damages in a subsequent trial?? Surely if a court is going to grant a patent they should at least do some ground work, otherwise we could end up with the same patent granted to two companines surely??

Then the Iphone 5 will be released, you'll get those brainwashed...i mean fans camping all night outside the stores so they can be the first to mince down the main street wafting their phone at arms length (as if trying to move a bad smell) trying to catch peoples attention to say "I am the greatest person on earth because I have a new Iphone 5"... usually doing that, but to the attention of the nearest mugger.
