Just like they did not invent MP3 players, laptops or computers. Wake up there is no such thing as original. This is Apple's way of trying to destroy a competitor through the courts rather than in the market place.

apple is starting to disgust me. they copied ideas from other companies too but no one made a fuss... and the form factor, ffs it was a trend! how about blackberry suing nokia for the use of qwerty keyboards on its N series? i want a company that brings me shocking new products, not old revamped ones (like the 4s). No more apple products for me!

I think Nokia and other companies were making touch screen products well before Apple constructed the Iphone. I think Apple are blindly suing Samsung and have no idea why they are suing. Patent rights? Well just because a phone is rectangular and has the scrolling menu system doesn't mean anything. Apple won on their home ground but will lose the battle around the world. They have already lost in Japan. If that happens Samsung will counter sue and Apple will have to close shop. Good luck Apple you're going to need it.

They might... morethe point and the basis of apple is "rectangular WITH ROUNDED CORNNER" concept not only refering in any crap rectangular phone exis before! apple made iphone with sharp edge to edge shape that now samsung copied and even other manufacturer follow it!

I seriously think that each country should ban Apple products in their country especially in Korea. Then the US can keep their Iphones and Ipads to themselves and live in an outdated world. BTW Samsung terminate your contract with making chips for Apple now.

This is so typical of Apple milking the victory. They might win this time in the US but this will show that no one will want to buy anything from Apple. I think if Apple continues this there will be lawsuit after lawsuit and people will get sick and tired of Apple suing companies about other patents that it gets boring. Apple needs to get their head straight and think of new ideas not sue companies because Samsung or other companies made a rectangular phone. Sheeesh!
