Old and inefficient tech. Just like Qi chargers, wasting energy. If it's done with a direct laser, it could work.

      I'm curious would it interfere with the 5g or GPS signals. It great idea true wireless charging. It take long time for the technology to mature, good for them to start now.

                    Depending how it stops the signal / power delivery to the device may be a better approach then the constant barrage of a higher frequency like Xiaomi's implementation.

                            What they showed here can't be 100 % safe for human body and pets for example right ?
