Another feature that is not present in Android 11, of the Mi A3, is the Screen Style Personalization. It remains the same as the previous version, just choose the Backgrounds. I'm still waiting for this change and some others that were in the promise of Android 11.

Anonymous, 31 Jan 2021MUI is polished? Thanks for the laugh sir.Actually it is, but maybe it depends of the device.. My 2 years old Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 (AI), runs on MIUI 12.2.0 really good. But i must say, i did hard reset (after) update from MIUI 11.. Without hard reset, every big update for every skin is laggy. Try it.

The Mi A3 is still one of the well-balanced Android One phones in the market. Good build quality, AMOLED display, battery life coupled with snappy performance and not overpriced. Its software update track record is patchy, but the Android 11 arrived faster than expected and it's finally stable. Too bad there won't be a successor to it.

The Android One ROMs for Xiaomi's phones are of extremely poor quality. Bugs remain unfixed. Xiaomi only put in the bare minimum effort of pushing out OS and security updates.
You are better off loading your phone with an unofficial MIUI build. The most stable ROM I have installed on my Mi A2 lite was an unofficial MIUI 11 build ported from the Indian Redmi 6 Pro. It's in the '(ROM) (Daisy) MIUI 11 / HybridOS [Stable]' thread at XDA.

The latest Mi A3 Android 11 updates are waaay so much better than the horrendously buggy Poco F2 Pro Android 11 update. At least with the Mi A3's Android 11, support for third party launchers like Nova launcher is still there, and the gesture based full display mode navigation is seamless. It's absolutely a night and day difference in terms of a bug free and smooth Android 11 experience. I still HATE that white/black Android 11 bottom bar though at the center of the screen that never goes away. It does nothing and wastes so much space. Google was stupid to dedicate a space to it in Android 11.
