Way too expensive, xiaomi need to think better of the European tactic as this will not work. Xiaomi in here is known as low end brand, it is known but if for the same price you can get Samsung or iPhone no one will choose Xiaomi. Someone below mentioned plastic back of S21, dude so you are the person with cracked screen and no phone cover!! Protect your phone no matter what it's made of.

Paradik, 05 Feb 2021So you mean the Mi11 isn't a properly high-end phone ?... moreIt's still Xiaomi. That's like Alcatel charging as much as Apple for their smartphone. It just doesn't compute. Especially since quite a lot of compromises were done, starting with what seems to be poor cooling of otherwise good chipset. That's kinda important.

        Actually, that price exclusive charger.
That is new Enviroment saving strategy of Xiaomi or may be new way to earn extra bucks from old stuff...

AnonD-546724, 05 Feb 2021This is why chinese pricing is worthless. Remember when ... moreIs it really a better deal? with Samsung you get better cameras and a proper telephoto lens, you get an IP rating, better software support (Xiaomi's global software support is seriously lacking). If your entire purchasing decision is based on the SoC you can do that as well, but then you should consider that 888 heats up more then the 2100 and consumes more battery as well. But if Geekbench scores and antutu scores are what maters to you yeah go with cheapest 888 phone you can find.

for that price, the price should have a proper third camera not a macro
            and IP rating

Nothing unexpected here. Same pricing like mi10 in China equals same pricing like mi10 in Europe...

Oh how very confident of you Mr. Anon. Even my friend who used to be a long time Apple user switched to Sony and don't regret it at all. Even for me as a long-time Samsung user, I have already locked my eyes on Sony's current smartphone offerings.

€899 for 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage with no microSD card slot or even a 3.5mm audio jack? I thought some "enthusiasts" and "genius" here claimed that the Sony Xperia 1 ii is an overpriced junk when new? Nah, on my second thought, it will still forever remain an overpriced piece of junk trash, isn't it? 😏

And this is the vanilla Mi 11 remember. If the vanilla Mi 11 is already this expensive, I'm pretty sure the upcoming Pro variant will be even more expensive than this. Last year's Mi 10 can even give a fair fight against the OnePlus 8 for crying out loud!

The mi11 phone is exactly the same price in China and Europe (if these leaks are correct) as the mi10 was so there is zero surprise on pricing

Why is the ''global'' version +300$ more expensive than the Chinese one for the exact same hardware?
The only advantage of Xiaomi is to have much better prices than samsung for the same specs, but now at 900e for the 256gb version it's barely 90e less than the S21+
