... moreCool down mate. I didn't bring up HMD vs Nokia. I just talked about the naming convention. Nothing in your reply talks about that. So technically yours is not a reply to my message.
But to reply you, it didn't matter who designs or manufactured or whatever, it's branded as Nokia. No one calls it HMD 5.4, it's Nokia 5.4. HMD must be paying some huge sum of money for that brand, it's only natural to call it so.
"Tell the lies to others" - what do you call a lie? Saying that 5.4 is better than 5(2021)? If you think there's a better naming convention, please educate us.
"HMD fan" - my post didn't have even a single mention of hmd. Just think who then is the real hmd fan. If my message makes you think I am a hmd fan, then I would suggest you consult a psychiatrist ASAP.

Using a poco in a family function is embarrassing but using Nokia Samsung or Apple won't.

This is not Nokia. Is a rented brand. That is a fact. Tell the lies to others... HMD fan...
What they did with the 8850 reissue was sacrilege. And they destroyed Pureview's status as well. So they sink the sooner the better.
They are but a handful of unpresentable trying to take advantage of the good name that Nokia had for many reasons and now they have sunk into misery.

You don't have to say like 5(2021) or 5 4th gen or 5 mark IV or simple 5 and then scratch you head on which version it is.
Only problem is they do not release models regularly and update the whole range at same time, so time of launch also need to be considered while comparing let's say 5 and 6 series.

Maybe before they launched 1 & 2 series it was considered "budget" model but not anymore. Their range starts from 1 and practically ends at 8. 5 should be considered a striped down version of 6 than a upgraded version of 3.

I can't help it, but I am so disappointed with this. My old Nokia 5 has dual-band Wi-Fi, and 4 years later they introduce a successor limited to 2,4 GHz, although the SoC supports it of course. 🤔
