[deleted post]Well, definitely you didn’t want to see the achievement of a real smartphone! Don’t you! You may have different point of view when it comes to what you foresee from your phone although Samsung’s been proving its significance every now and then. It’s just that some people do not want to accept the fact! Not everyone gets a phone for the reason that they like the manufacture making it, but because they like the functionality and features these devices produce. If some other cell phone maker comes up with something superior, people will choose to be with that company and not Samsung! But right now, they are the current rulers of mobile market with features that no other cell phone manufacture gives to its consumers. At the end, it’s all about companies making phones for their profit and money. But I guess a smart consumer knows what his phone is capable of doing and will desire the best, the latest and the greatest in mobile world. Samsung Galaxy S3 is a paradigm of how a smart phone should perform and HOX is other thing proving how a smartphone should look. So it depends upon consumers, they want looks or performance. In the existing situation, Samsung is ahead of all its competitors for the reason that not much people prefer looks, but desires performance and wants the best in market. That’s about it! 20 million cows and some still not joining the mass because they are green-eyed of their success!

D79_, 06 Sep 2012U obviously didn't look at the video properly as the batter... moreThere are two main issues about the SGS3 screen here.

          1) It is a lot bigger. More surface area vs thickness so more opportunity for torsion related strain and weakness. With GG2 30% thinner than GG1 it compunds this.

          2) the design has the glass glued to the display. so when the glass breaks so does the display. This is a big disappoint for me whish is why I have a screen & case protector (slim one though) on mine.

Anyway, 20M in 100 days - good for you SGS3!
However i5 will no doubt do that in it's first month or less. This is not saying the i5 is better or worse, just that it's fans will queue for days to buy one regardless.

AnonD-59079, 06 Sep 2012The same can be said : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7e9e... moreU obviously didn't look at the video properly as the battery on the S3 came loose and the dumb ass girl didn't switch the S3 back on again.

Also she didn't drop the S3 how she said she was gonna. I agree that the Gorilla Glass2 is way to weak compared to GG1 but the iPhone in the video I showed u (fair test) proves that plastic absorbs the shock but metal and glass like on the iPhone takes full force and smashes not just a little but into bits....

Steve Jobs, co owner of Apple Computers, visited Xerox in 1979 and saw a demonstration of the Alto. He instantly realised that graphical interfaces controlled by a mouse are superior to text based interfaces controlled by keys, and he rushed back to Apple saying he had seen the future and they needed to get working on it right away. The engineers at Xerox were excited by the Alto project, but they didn't understand its potential. By the time Xerox released the Star 8010 in 1981, Apple were already hard at work on their own GUI based computer. When Steve Jobs saw the new Xerox machine he instantly knew Xerox had dropped the ball.

To be honest, Samsung proved it again… haters are going to hate it no matter what they come up with… numbers and statistics are categorically supporting Samsung (and without forgetting to cite the jurors around the world except Americans)… Happy 100th SGS3 day Samsung! It knows what it and what a real smartphone user around the world anticipate from his device… Benchmarks previously proved it, numbers previously proved it too… this is another proof that 20 million people prefer not because they’re blind and people prefer plastic, but because they know what they want from their phone! You cannot just fit an unknown car brands engine in Porsche and then expect it to sell, what’s inside the phone is what really matters… Again, it’s a matter of personal preference! People who hate will hate them for their achievements and ever mounting YoY and QoQ market shares, simply because they want their preferred manufactures to be on top and which is where they fall short. I’m not talking about innovation of Samsung but despite of popular conviction that they facsimile other devices, I will call it inspiration! And then eventually come up with something that is the latest and the most supreme in the mobile world. Again, it’s a matter of personal fondness!

A unit of Samsung Galaxy S III price is MYR 2,199 (USD 680), times with 20 million units sold, equals to MYR 43.98 billion (USD 13.6 billion). Woah! See how many Samsung gets on S III alone.

Pavel, 06 Sep 2012Only one and the most important question, what is the source... moreSo you think Samsung announced it and they are lying? Maybe.....except for the fact that they would get sued by investors...and they will eventually have to report actual numbers in quarterly earnings reports....except the SEC would investigate and make them pay millions in fines for deceiving consumers, investors, and carriers by presenting false information to the public, other than that, your theory about Samsung lying is absolute genius.
