use duckduckgo it already has dark theme and block most trackers..if you value your privacy just use duckduckgo.com

It's not only Gmail but other Google apps as well like the Google news widget. A work around if you're stuck with Android 9 is to use Yahoo Mail or anothet email client to access your Gmail inbox. As for Google news widget, you can replace it with another news widget that has a dark mode/theme.

Google Chrome for windows has had a dark mode extension a long time ago. It's called 'Dark Reader' and you can find it and install it from Chromestore. Windows 10 has also had a dark mode for a long time and for programs that don't have a native dark mode, you can enable high contrast theme and customize colors for an all dark mode Windows 10 desktop/laptop/tablet experience.
As for Chrome for Android, it also had dark mode a long time ago, albeit hidden. Type chrome://flags on the chrome for android address bar. On the search box, (Experiments webpage), search 'dark' and under 'Force Dark Mode for web contents', tap 'Default' and change it to 'Enabled'. No need to wait for Google search to come up with a dark mode which has taken them FOREVER to implement.

Anonymous, 11 Feb 2021Am i the only one that don't like dark modes ? Probably unless you've never used an all dark mode theme on your phone. Xiaomi phones on MIUI 12 can force even old apps that don't have a dark mode to use dark colors for an all out dark mode experience. Once you've made everything dark (including wallpapers), you absolutely can't go back to light mode, and any app you can't force a dark mode or dark colored theme absolutely sticks out like a sore thumb in a perfectly relaxing, dark mode experience - not only indoors and in low light, but even in regular bright light as well.
