Most people don't care about new Android version for this exact reason. All the features one needs, are already baked into their custom Android skin years before stock Android gets it. Lot of the features can be easily sideloaded if they aren't baked into the original skin.

Good I sincerely hope it brings Perfomance upgrades like much more streamlined render pipeline, GPU UI utilization and proper core ultilization for games.
Literally Android didn't bring any performance improvements since Android Nougat.
And many under the hood improvents.

Yeah, Google is just finally catching up to Samsung after so many years. I'm really sick and tired of those who go on about stock Android and the latest update from Google (which is always years behind Samsung and other Android OEMs.

EMUI especially for its firewall+ease of split screen
I hope MIUI adopts Firewall in future, though it would lose its ad revenue.

Though i prefer the desserts name than the numbers, as numbers are so lifeless.

Samsung, Xiaomi and a bunch of other manufacturers have had one-handed mode for years already, but still a good feature to add to stock android nonetheless.

People love stock android but now, almost a lot of features from OEM skins are being incorporated so, what's the point? Tbh, stock is bare bones and I don't understand installing apps for the features baked in OEM ROM which is far better implementation with less security or privacy concerns. Android 12 with more OEM features lol

I don't understand why people like MKBHD likes stock android, sure, you get the fastest updates, security patches and are very easy to use, but it lacks features. Dark mode, screwn recorder, one handed mode, customozation are all over the place on Samsung and Chinese brands android skins. Sure, they get less update, but... What's the point of an update if you already have those features? I am fine with MIUI 12 even if it is android 10 bcuz it has most of the android 11 features. Color OS has crazy customizations, oxygen os combines one ui and stock, which looks great. Miui has crazy good animations and transitions that work very good with 144hz displays. Stock android lacks a lot of those features, and any of that fancy cool stuff. And even heavy skins are now flawless, except ads in MIUI
