First of all the chances of you geting a virus are fairly slim if you use your brain properly

secondly most buisnesses will be using anti-virus softwere and have backups of files

3rd of all crome os sucks for buisneses as it doesnt have the necacery apps and has a big deficiencey in speed and using computing intensive apps even with crome OS bieng a lightwight os

and by the way malware isnt everywhere on the internet

I downloaded and used Windows 10 on my Mac M1 for a month to see how it can run it. My first time to use Windows 10, the last time I had a windows pc was in 2009 and it was Windows 7. The M1 runs it very well (through parallels). But honestly it is so inferior to that of MacOS. I decided to delete it to use the memory for something more useful. The point is that M1 can run Windows and it runs it pretty fast while the computer never gets hot. And soon there will be Windows version for M1 chip.

YUKI93, 17 Feb 2021You won't find those in Malaysia, that's for sure... moreOh windows is the more popular one here too, just that in some circles macbooks are seen a lot, usually with people into the apple ecosystem.

The fact that you don't need to have a brand new four-figure flagship smartphone in the first place and can even leverage a 2018 flagship smartphone like the Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+ and Huawei Mate 20/Mate 20 Pro/Mate 20 X in Desktop Mode is an instant no brainer. And if that's not enough, even the LG Velvet 5G, which is an upper-midrange smartphone running SD 765G chipset, can flawlessly run Desktop Mode**.

ChromeOS prevent things like this from happening. Give to sales person, give to non techie, its secure, its hard to go wrong. No need to worry.

And when you want productivity? Mac! Nothing is better. Annnnnd it can also virtualise WINDOZEEE! :) A better deal if you ask me.. a malware infested OS like Windows deserved to be locked inside a Virtual machine.

why should we even buy chrome book when it is just a browser pretending to be a os

If there are people in Malaysia who use MacBooks for businesses, they are all either foreigners or expats - that's it. The rest, even in schools, still prefer to use Windows.

Business as in getting your work done, where it doesnt need a lot of processing power for gaming or rendering and not just 'retail' business.

Display is 4K not FHD+ wich actually would make more sense than 4K. All this overpriced thing needs is an LTE/5G combo and it's actually a good chromebook to recommend.

And yes, it does run Fortnite. Mobile! lol

I forgot to mention the price for the i3 version with 128GB eMMC and 8GB RAM. It's $699 for crying out loud! Even a Pentium Gold-powered Microsoft Surface Go with Type Cover keyboard is a much better deal than this Chromebook.
