Honestly, there's nothing wrong with IPS screen, especially if it's something like the one on my K30 5G. The HDR quality is so good that it can easily be mistaken for a flagship grade IPS panel for its punchiness. It's like the old flagship HDR IPS panels of old flagships were brought down to the mid range segment, and it's doing wonders really well.
For one, the lifespan of IPS panels is significantly longer compared to AMOLEDs, and another is that it is obviously cheaper as well.
Pure blacks? Nah, we can reserve them for upper mid range to flagship level devices instead. Cheap mid rangers like the Redmi Note series is perfectly fine with IPS displays, for as long as they are HDR certified (which I do believe they are).
For reference, I compared this panel to my sibling's Galaxy S20+, and there's no doubt that the Samsung flagship is superior, but even for the general consumers, the displays on cheap Redmi Note and K series are far more than exemplary enough to satisfy even the most demanding people out there. People who are looking for the absolute best display on a smartphone shouldn't be looking for a mid range device anyway, so a high-grade high refresh rate IPS panel is already outstanding for a sub-$300 device.
What they should work out for is the use of variable refresh rate, which works similarly to how Samsung is doing it on the S21 Ultra. That's probably the only disadvantage of high refresh rates on mid rangers, as they are always active at high refresh rate even when the screen is not in use, so the ability to automatically drop the refresh rate to even as low as 24Hz in times when the screen is inactive or wouldn't benefit from the faster refresh rate would give a massive boost to battery efficiency. I think Xiaomi can do it, especially since they were able to pull it off with the Mi 10T devices' 144Hz panels.
That, and fixing the smearing issues of high refresh rate, and make it stable enough to constantly work without dropping down to 60Hz unexpectedly, is going to make up for a very solid mid ranger at a low price.
The stereo speakers and excellent haptic motors that they pulled off with the Poco X3 NFC would be some nice additions to the Redmi Note 10 series, though it would also mean costing as much as the former, if not more, but I'd still like to see them do those things.

Maybe this one is Non-Pro model. Or if it doesn't come with Amoled.

1.Redmi should stop LCD display now and start making Amold and OLED display phone.
2. Now everyone is launching phone with 6.5" display phone but company should also focus on 6" and 5.5" display phone.
