YUKI93, 23 Feb 2021Snapdragon 690? I wonder if it would be the global version ... moreNo. 9E has more battery and 8GB ram.
I expect it to be $50-80 more than N10 was.

Machines are adapted to deal with new components.
Not all same components are available for years like cameras, storage and RAM.

Snapdragon 690? I wonder if it would be the global version of the USA-only Nord N10 5G.

              690 ??? that is ridiculous,
              they should use 7×× series.

So it's basically the Nord N10?

Why can't they just re-release the OnePlus 7 Pro at a cheaper price. Surely they haven't scrapped all the assembly lines yet right?

OnePlus 9 with 888 and a better camera should be a hit for sure !

React 2 Gadgets YT, 23 Feb 2021The Oneplus we knew is no longer here. It has died ever sin... moreThey were always 1 month late on security patch even before the OnePlus 8 and Nord series were released so I don't know what you're talking about.
And what's wrong with them doing budget phones now, I have a OnePlus 7 and I'm still getting security updates at the same rate as I did in 2019, the Android 11 OS update was delayed but most brands got it on their 2019 flagships in January and February 2021, and we're still in February.

OnePlus 9E is way too lite on the chipset! A Snapdragon 765G successor would have been befitting or they could have just reused the Snapdragon 865.

AnonD-940827, 23 Feb 2021Oneplus should stop trying to go lite/mini, and just go bac... moreIt's not 2016, every chinese brands became more expensive, as well as the korean, US, taiwan, japanese etc brands.
Even Xiaomi flagships cost 800€ and 1000€, it's not just OnePlus.
If you compare the specs of OnePlus phones in 2016 vs now, many things have changed, faster SoC, more storage, HRR displays, bigger displays, big batteries, under display FP, faster charging, stereo speakers etc.
So you want a OnePlus 9 Pro for 350 bucks?
OnePlus is targetting different people now by making budget phones, I heard the Nord N10 5G sold well...
Then a Pro model with the top specs, every brand are doing this, so why do you want to limit OnePlus' sales by making them produce only flagships and with a price that is not possible in 2021 with top specs?

I a done with OnePlus , I bough 3T, 5 and longer interested in their phones, completely lost tract of their update schedule, While Samsung went from the slowest to the fastest Android updater

                            What a shame 😩

Really doubt this is correct. The Nord N10 has a SD690 and is slotted lower than the main Nord. The 9E is clearly a part of the Flagship lineup and was previously rumoured to have the SD865. Probably will have the SD870 - Qualcomm also mentioned that OnePlus will use the chip for some device when they announced it.

I wonder if it means never settle on a decision and keep weighing the options they offer.

Samsung A52 is a better choice definitely

Same chipset as Nord N10. 😒
