Guys, if you don't like nokia, it's your choice. But think a little bit, new phone always come up with new functions and improvements. I don't get why many users keep complaining about Nokia phone while they're not using one.
If you haven't had a chance to use Tube (yet), don't just "judge" by your former experience. Open your mind and you will find the phone that suits you, don't just stick to some brand or whatever makes u impress. Things always change. ^^

Prototype? I think you are using the word in the wrong context. Multitouch is far from a prototype. It's a working, tried and true technology. ;)
And no, Apple did not create Multi-touch. It doesn't take a lot of research, just a simple google search to reveal the facts.

It was developed by University of Toronto initially, then by University of Delaware, in which Apple BOUGHT the technology.
Many pieces of technology, not Apple branded, use multi touch and are able to use multi-touch (i.e. Microsoft Surface).
Sounds like another case of Apple fanboyism. It's time Apple fanboys did some research instead of thinking Apple invented the wheel. :)

Anonymous, 26 Jul 2008what is multi touch?Multi touch is the prototype developed by apple, that allows you to do 3 different things if u touch the same point of screen or touchpad (on laptops) with one, two or three fingers. On my Macbook Air, one finger works as a normal mouse. 2 fingers as pame (Up, down, left, right, circling around etc), 3 fingers zooms in and out, and rotates clockwise and anti-clockwise what u want to rotate... It's pretty convenient IMO...

With this product Nokia admits that Apple knew more about creating phones than they did....
But theres is one little problem.
The iPhone ... is not really a phone... is an ultra portable computer, with an extremely popular backend service (iTunes and .Mac which will be renamed to .Me). Nokia is neither a computer company nor they have the talent to build and market a service as Apple does.
To top things off, Nokia does not even include a "Sticker" that you can put in your car ... not that a Nokia sticker would be as cool as an Apple sticker... which is YET another problem with Nokia.
Oh well.. to end this on a positive note, Nokia will be very successful in selling cheap cellphones.

listen up. I am no way disrespecting any country. If you felt that then I sincerly apologise, But you are not getting my point. What I am saying is that most of the sales and revenues which Nokia generates is through the sales in Asia pacific region where people are being made fool by offering inferior quality "made in china" handsets as compared to "Made in EU" handsets in rest of the world. The quality is pathetic and build is poor. This is where Nokia is earning. I am no way against your or anyone's country. But I sincerly disrespect the policies and the technologies being used by Nokia. Obsolete technology being marketed to people who are too ignorant to understand it. Just fyi N96 is supposed to be a hot seller in A-P region and banks heavily on DVB-h, but do you practically think that there is any use of Digital TV there? just think about it. With the world going the hand and gesture based interface of famed Apple and HTC devices, they are stuck to their crappy old series 60 interface which looks similar in their Lo-end N70 as well as new shiny N96.
Just think about it

to bone, or should I say, bonehead =) There is nothing wrong with hoping for Nokia to improve the quality, build, and design of their phones, and I don't even think that's hoping too much for other phone makers like Apple, LG and Samsung are doing great with their phone designs & build, why can't Nokia?
My comment was not inconsistent, it's your comprehension that's kind of low =)
It all boils down to what's more important to you. I do not like the build and design of most Nokia phones, but functionality-wise, I like Nokia's more than other phones. Usability is more important to me than looks, hence, I bought the N95 even when I do not like its build. Now where is the inconsistency in that?

I can't wait for this phone to come out. I hope the screen on this one is scratch-proof and made of glass instead of plastic, and I also hope that it would have a sturdy and solid build. I'm not really a fan of the materials that Nokia uses on their phones, and the creaky quality of their phones. They have the best performing phones though, and one of the most user friendly, which is the main reason why I love my N95, but I really wish they'll improve its build quality. I hate that lose quality every time I press on the key or open the slider. It feels like there are lose screws everywhere.
