Yes, SE does pays attention to few smaller details that Nokia or S60 left out. I dont think it's that significant but it does matter. And I do think that you realizing that both Nokia Tube and P5i are just rumors is something very smart.
I'm honestly a little OFFENDED by your comment. FYI, we who live in Indonesia - a third world country in South East Asia, do use Sony Ericsson too, and there are a lot of die-hard SE fans here too as there are Nokia fans in the world and in Indonesia. I personally am a fan of Nokia, but I would never disrespect SE or other brands, and more importantly, I would never disrespect or call any other country 'el cheapo.' You should have considered your trash talk before you actually say it, and the last sentence in your comment is totally childish.

are you sure that this phone is actual press announcement from Nokia? afaik, both p5i and tube are just rumors. I've used like both s60 and Uiq based phones and i am very satisfied with my P990i. for what I appriciate SE is that they give proper attention to smaller details. a simple example: when u transfer thru blutooth, in nokia is just the bluetooth logo comes in paranthesis, but with ericsson, it shows proper status. there are numerous such differences. Trust me, Noki may have a some good phones, but its sale is only because of the "el-cheapo" stuff it makes for the third world countries in Asia Pacific region.

@Sarex.
P800 came out in 2003 and Nokia's 7710 came out in 2004, with touchscreen and killer features compared to P800. (Announced date is not same as release date).

Nokia is great.
Make sure launch the Nokia 5800 Xpress Media earlier before 2008 end. The advantage that thid model having wider screen (3.2 in) compare to other. Hurry up before others competitor market their new 3.2 in touchscreen.

I've carried nokia all my life and im gettin the N95 8gb next week because basically i think nokia makes the best phones in market period.. But i have to say, nokia bugs me alot how they are always late.. I mean seriously a nokia with a touch screen should've been in the market for at least a year by now.. Or they could've at least make the N96 a touch screen phone .. But instead they start thinkin about it too damn late then they put the tube in the market in the first Q of 2009!!!!! SERIOUSLY!

hey Zylam, for me it looks like you're making nokia fans look bad. I like nokia the best and will likely stick with nokia but I'm not proud of owning one because of some nokia fans in this website. Why can't everyone like all brands or at least not hate it. If there exists people who likes the phones that you hate then its good for them and it has nothing to do with you. Everyone has their own choices of phones so what's the point of changing their minds? I can't believe how people can become so loyal to phones which is a very small part in life.

hey p5 guy, your barking up the wrong tree, what happened to the k850i man? every phone that comes out is compared to the N95 almost instantly, oh wait........no wifi, no gps and small screen make the k850i a true se thats purpose was to be forgotten, the p5i has't even been announced...........just leaked rumor pics but than again se only release a capable phone like once every 2 years, so i guess just a rumor and a few pics here and there mean alot to you guys......great

I'll be happy when another player in the "touch" is available in the market. Better for us as consumers. And I can't wait to see how the Symbian touch experience is.
I have the HTC TyTN II and while I'm happy with the device the UI leaves a lot to be desired IMO. Iphone UI is still better than Win Mobile 6.1 ... hopefully Nokia nails the UI and brings us more choice.

Nokia N82 and Apple iPod Classic 80GB: The perfect couple for me... No touchscreens just simplicity. For music the iPod, for everything in technology and communication my N82... I don't like the iPhone it's very restricted, if Apple release the iPhone without the restrictions that could inteffer in their "business" the iPhone could be the best smartphone in the world... But Apple is Apple... That's where the device codenamed "Tube" comes with all the Nokia goodies and a touchscreen, it seems that doesn't have multi-touch response but it's a very good start... Nothing is compared in mobile phones like Nokia and they are miles ahead that the other brands, only Sony Ericsson is able to match Nokia.
