Andro... more"Android is open sources, hence developers can develop it to make it completely privacy oriented"
Or they can design it to collect as much data as they want which they are doing. Despite all the quirks, ios is regarded as the most secured among phone OS's (some Android users may always belie).
I am an android user so not biased, i would say.

Facebook, Google, Apple and all other companies are into this user data mining. They need to sell their products (either to consumers or advertisers). All of them need user data for marketing strategy. Some sell your data to others and some don't. But all of them collect data for sure.

SShreyas, 26 Feb 2021But that won't stop Xiaomi from collecting your dataWell, I have a Google account. And I mainly use Google apps (gmail, maps, translate, etc.). The first ones who collect my data are Google. Xiaomi needs to stay in line for this, lol.
But seriously now, in 2020-2021 there is no company out there (software or hardware), related to smartphone industry who doesn't collect your data. Who thinks otherwise is just naive.
Of course, you can say, I rather have my data collected by Apple rather than Xiaomi. Or Twitter instead of Facebook. But for me, data is data. If it's collected by one company or another, it makes little impact to me.
To tell you the truth, I am not using Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, not because of data collecting, but because is full of id*ot people, false news and st**id videos or posts.

Facebook is a cancer! Sure glad I never joined.
I like how they say "to help find / support small businesses" but we all know that Amazon and Walmart (possibly that joke Wish.com) will be the most displayed ads as they have the money to pay for aggressive advertising.
