147mm thats kinda big.
I had the Xcover 4 that was a fine phone.
People seem to be very happy with the Xcover Pro, but with 16 cm its very tall.

Mind you, i dont mind handling a hefty rugged phone i dont care how wide it is but it should NOT BE TOO TALL.

I really hope this time they won't forget the fingerprint sensor! That's the only thing really missing on my XCover 4S.

I have an x cover rugged, they are crap!

KondriX, 28 Feb 2021Not expensive is still not free.. And you have to take your... moreMaybe but to to be honest I prefer sealed-in battery, no one can turn the phone off if I lose it and I can still track it.

Absolute potato, might as well get a decent fone with a reinforced case or just a throwaway ultrabudget for work.

Wish they went for a 16:9 display instead of a giraffe display for rugged phones. Ruins the experience even when wearing gloves

KondriX, 28 Feb 2021Yeah, so it's still possible to have a removable batte... moreTrue. But then again. People would just replace the old battery, instead of buying a new phone. They know how to make money. Apple always had success with this method, so the others just adapted.

AnonD-940827, 27 Feb 2021Remember the s5? Flagship with ip rating and removable battery. Yeah, so it's still possible to have a removable battery without sacrificing IP certification

KondriX, 27 Feb 2021It's strange that rugged phones, with MIL-STD and IP c... moreJust money. Even sealed battery phones end up getting water damaged but of course, no warranty and it's the user's fault accdg to makers.

Have not seen any phone ads that involve beach/diving photography and video for quite some time. Maybe they know something we don't.

It's a shame it's going to be 147mm of height, if it was less than 145, it would also win the compact segment, only beaten by the iPhone 12 mini which is a 800EUR phone. This way it's a good contender, but not a clear winner.

So Exynos 850 or 950 which is it?

The worst "rugged" Samsung ever made. Just as horrible as exynos soc! Active was the way to go rugged, but it was sadly a trump model only.

KondriX, 27 Feb 2021It's strange that rugged phones, with MIL-STD and IP c... moreMaybe but it's still not expensive to replace the battery in a sealed phone.

It's strange that rugged phones, with MIL-STD and IP certification has removable batteries, and the normal ones do not have that? This was one of the reasons invoked by manufacturers that phones should be sealed when actually it's all about money.
