      That being said, Face ID is much safer and more complex than Face unlock feature on Android phones. The only bad thing about it, is that Apple is not giving any options to it. Especially in this pandemic period. But it's Apple, is something common for them, lol.
      It is rumored though, they will use an in display fingerprint reader with iphone 13 or 14 (whatever they will call it).

All other companies' facial recognition systems are 2D and they are there just to be able to unlock the phone without having to reach the fingerprint sensor. They are nowhere near Apple's Face ID tech cuz simply they weren't designed to. For actual security android phones use fingerprint sensors. That's basically the whole reason for Apple to keep that humongous notch, to house all those massive sensors that cannot be hidden under the screen, or be fit in any bezel.

            Kuo is very reliable but this news is just odd. Apple is clearly all in on Face ID so I can't see this happening.

                          Because Face ID tech currently can’t fit into punch-hole? It takes lot more space, that’s why we have notch, and this year notch will get little bit smaller, because they’ve been able to shrink the tech behind Face ID.

                            That is why many Android companies removed the headphone jack. They saw how much profit Air pods bring to Apple, so they wanted a part of that market profit. Majority of Android companies now make also wireless headphones.
                            The same can be said about removing the charger from the box. Even though it is still at the beginning, and some Android companies are giving options too, I am expecting this to be an irreversible process. And once the people will accept it, they will probably remove the charging port all together and sell wireless chargers separately.
                            Is not personal, is only business.

                              That's what made iPhone great. They make sure their tech is matured, and right for the job. Only replacing it when a better tech or feature comes around.

                              Unlike sony, who stayed old.. and thus lost the mobile war.

                                Of course, depending from which point you are looking at it, it could be bad or good. Is bad, because you don't have options, flexibility and customization (like on Android side). But, it could be also good (if you don't care about those previous points), you are actually getting a good and stable ecosystem (that basically works well between any Apple devices). Not to mention the services, that are all in one place, with one subscription.
                                For me, I understand both type of people. Because I was on both sides.

                                      Been thinking to buy 12 or 12 Mini these days but I'm gonna wait for 13 because of this.

                                        Punch-hole is just another and worse kind of notch. I hope Kuo is mistaken this time.
