I think the casual smaertphone user shall go for the Redmi note 10 series because that processing power wont affect thier experience as much as that display.

I also think inflation has to do with the prices going up too, but what my main concern was how do they announce the RN 10 Series without it competing with Mi 10i for price to specs ratio. Because if the RN 10 pro max is like 25000 and packs a better deal than the mi 10i then its stupid to but the mi 10i.

AnonD-986504, 03 Mar 2021And also xiaomi will not offer such bleeding edge specs on ... moreJust as OnePlus did... over span of 4 to 5 years, they gradually moved their device specs and prices up, Xiaomi does same thing with their Redmi Note lineup.... so each year, their device specs will boost and along-side their prices, all gradually

RN4 was for INR 9k, RN7 started at 10k, RN9 at Rs 11 or 12k now this RN10 may price higher

Also, they keep bringing more expensive variants to make price of Top variant of Redmi Note a couple of thousands (INR) more, this year too same thing will happen

Good thing is that they never stop from bringing great specs at lower prices... their POCO M3 (Redmi 9 Power) come with UFS 2.1 / 2.2 storage at INR 11k only, they brought stereo speakers along too, all sensors on the budget devices too

Avalanche, 03 Mar 2021LCDs have more cons than any OLED screen. Low contrast, lo... moreYour being dishonest

LCD can get the yellow spots that is rare compared to OLED

OLED does have uniformity issues especially with Gray's and brightness so stop lying

Contrast wins on OLED hands down

BUT YOUD GO as far to say that LCD has low peak brightness??

You can't be serious are you high on smartphone displays you think smartphones represent the OVERALL technology??

LCD is factually the brightest TV technology both is peak and sustained brightness

Brightness actually destroys OLED because of its organic nature

YS3G, 03 Mar 2021i doubt the same to happen on s21 ultra. Screen burn happen... moreAMOLED stands for Active Matrix Organic LED. All AMOLED/OLED/P-OLED regardless of cost will burn up due to the organic compounds degrading over time. More expensive panels like on flagship phones might be more resistant to burn-in, but extreme use will still cause the burn-in to develop sooner. With flagship phones now pushing pass 1000 nits, it's actually not rare to see flagship phones developing burn in within one year. The Samsung S9 series was notorious for burn-in. A few iPhone 11 Pros also developed burn-in within months.

                            Unnatural colors
I've see S20 ultra, all the above problems still exists and there is nothing you can do about it. Oh, or maybe it was because the device was already 6 months old and the pixels are already 5% degraded, which is enough to make a screen look bad unless ur a pleb

AMOLED ist garbage. I will keep my honor 20 pro until this technology is rendered obsolete

Avalanche, 03 Mar 2021LCDs have more cons than any OLED screen. Low contrast, lo... moreWhich is better? Even if you eliminate money from the equation, it really comes down to personal taste. Neither OLED or LCD LED is perfect. Some extol OLED’s skill in handling darkness, and its lighting precision. Others prefer LCD’s ability to go brighter, and maintain colours at bright levels.
Each has its advantages and disadvantages
                                Everyone’s eyes are different
You have to look at them and figure out which is best for your needs
LCD panels have been manufactured for far longer than OLED so LCD panels have enjoyed many cost reductions because there have been billions of LCD panels manufactured
OLED still has many problems in manufacturing so their failure rate is very high, which makes them very expensive

LCDs have more cons than any OLED screen.
Low contrast, low peak brightness, awul uniformity and bleeding.
OLED screens does not have any of that issues.
Yes OLED screens burns, but LCDs burn too. Even more. Leaving huge yellow spots.

Si hao, 03 Mar 2021You are the 12% of people who likes high refresh rate than ... moreI have no idea if it will be 12% or whatever, but I probably have some logical reasoning

A 120Hz LCD screen is cheaper than a 60Hz OLED, and it was confirmed that the Pro variant is going to include 120Hz OLED and that the price increase is not going to be significant, I really believe this can be achieved by buying a good quality panel ?

Not all Oled displays are great like S21 Ultra or iPhone 12 and Mi 11, in this price range it is much better good quality HRR LCD than lower level Oled HRR
