    It's just Samsung's dodgy sensor with integrated fake zoom - what's innovative about that?

      Not sure why they are going on about innovation so much when all they seem to be doing is using Samsung's HM2 sensor. They didn't design the sensor. Most of the innovation in terms of camera comes from the sensor manufacturers and the ISP in the processor chip. There have been a few innovations from smartphone manufacturers alright in recent times like the periscope zoom lens implemented originally by Huawei and Oppo and Vivo's micro-gimbal stabilization and software innovations like Huawei's nightmode

        There's no mention of Optical Image Stabilization? That's what we need the most, to reduce hand shaking while taking photos in low-light situations.

            The comment you responded to addressed the one ridiculing iPhone for having 12MP when midrangers are having 108MP. So, I should be the one telling you that MP count doesn't decide much, not the other way around. And sorry to disappoint you, the iPhone 11 Pro Max had just 12MP, but it'd knock the lights out of many phones touting 108MP. And I don't even like iPhones — due to iOS, however.

            You fanboys should take some chill pill with your outlandish claims.

              They just should use a 12mp sensor with 1/1, 2" without binning and stuff! Just huge pixels with a lot of DR, excellent low light captions and great speed of focusing.

                  And no, the 12MP sensor you talk about is not larger than the Samsung HM2, nor does it "eviscerate" anything other than your pathetic name calling.

                          I believe the reason apple uses outdated hardware is that they have a good results with what they have and if they risk putting out a device with un-optimized software they would lose customers for the lack of finesse that cRapple is known for.
                          This is more believable than what you are saying.

                          Also, my Galaxy Note 4 takes amazing daytime pics, even compared to the newer phones but it does show lack of software being a very old phone.

                            A proper camera setup must be
                            Main, ultra wide with AF, telephoto.
                            The remaining tof, depth, macro, b/w, color filter, super macro, ultra super batman superman spiderman lens is just plain gimmicky..

But hardware also maters and software has its limits. I mean, high end Xiaomi and Huawei phones can take awesome night shots without Night mode, while 64 MP phones at midrange cannot. Software matters too. Meanwhile, IPhones, Pixels, Samsungs need night mode at nigt, or else images will be fulled of noise and dark. That's the limitations of software, while Samsung is bad at software.

Read my post to know how they do it. Samsung and Realme couldn't do it. And now, Realme is jusy showing us the details, we just wait for it to be implemented. If Realme doesn't implement it, it means Realme are misleading customers
