Weekly poll: does the Redmi Note 10 lineup have your next phone?

07 March 2021
Xiaomi announced the Redmi Note 10 series for the global and Indian markets - the phones are almost but (confusingly) not quite the same.

[deleted post]It's 2021 and the Note 10 Pro costs €270 but doesn't even have 5G!! It's an absolute POS. And so are you, defending them. 🤡🤡

Top Model should have had 5G, that would make it future proof, as 5G will enter many markets starting next year or so, also this chip is somewhat slow, 750G or 768G were earlier speculated but did not make it... and yes this chip does not have dual GPS bands like 720G from previous generation. With processors like dimensity 1000+, 1100 and even 775G coming up in the mid range, this is a let down to other wise excellent specs and finish/look

If specs are your concern then this phone is for you. Overall user experience will be poor because of the UI, so be warned.

        [deleted post]to be fair, he isn't a m 0 r 0 n or anything

the whole lineup is honestly very mediocre, and there are a lot of better options out there

say i'm a d***@$$ but you literally can get an iphone 8 plus or an iphone x for around the same price and still get a much longer software support and better cameras, if 5g isn't a worry.

jeez yall keep asking for 5g, like its gonna change your life. is it gonna change the way you eat, or the way you walk? wait for another 2 years until it fully becomes implemented throughout the entire world.

good specs but dated SoC, and no NavIc support or dual frequency GPS/GNSS, Note 9 series had these features and processor as per times, a snapdragon 750 would have been better, atleast in the top model

Due to the size or the processor that they chose, i'm going to wait for the galaxy A52 or maybe the mi 11 lite

Pointless lineup. In my country, 5G is coming fast and i don't think people should waste their money on a phone not being able to have that feature.
The only one is the lowest model, how smart from Xiaomi.
Anyway, got a Redmi Note 9 disappointing enough : too thick, bad lcd, bad cameras.

Namelesss, 07 Mar 2021A Redmi Note 10 Pro with a flagship chipset (Snapdragon 870... moreThe note series is Midrand Mr. Genius.

If you want SD 888, go for flagships.

2021 and there is NOT one phone without a tear drop or notch or punch hole camera !!
what is with people that want a FULL display??forced to wait for Asus zenfone 8 maybe??

IpsDisplay, 07 Mar 2021Can't believe people think this is the greatest phone ... moreYeah. 732g is already lagging in poco x3 nfc because of 120hz. And the sad thing about redmi note 10 pro is that it comes with MIUI 12.1 on top of 120hz which is really heavy. I expected MIUI 12.5 out of the box.

Anyways, 12.5 will be sent through an OTA update. Should check the performance after it. Xiaomi claims that it is lighter than 12.1

I really hope that the RN10S 5G coming with SD750G SoC and the RN10 Pro 5G is coming with SD775G SoC

A Redmi Note 10 Pro with a flagship chipset (Snapdragon 870 or 888) would have been perfect. I appreciate the value proposition here, but a flagship chipset is better for longevity.
There are the K40 and Mi11 series but those ones do not have dual sim + Micro SD card slot and a headphone jack.
I guess you can't have everything on a smartphone nowadays!

Barry Egan, 07 Mar 2021lol these "none of the above" guys are probably a... moreWhat if they already bought redmi note 9 last year and don't want to buy a new one ??

The whole line up is trash. The Redmi Note 10 "Pro" doesn't have 5G, has a crappy Amoled display that doesn't have DC dimming or a proper variable refresh rate and it's going to cost €270 when it launches in Europe.

And the only one of the line up that has 5G is has a weak chipset and a crappy camera setup up that would've been disappointing even 2 years ago. It's worse the the Redmi Note 8.

You'd be much better off getting the Mi 10T Lite. Xiaomi have got this series so wrong

Lack of 5G is seriously limiting as people are looking forward to the lauch of 5G in 2021 and Realme has loads of 5G phone in the same price bracket. Should have given 5G as atleast an option on the top Pro Max model. The chipset being snapdragon 732 is also seriously limiting.

lol these "none of the above" guys are probably apple & samsung fans 😂😂

                                  Poco X3 (NFC) release
People: It should have AMOLED screen instead of 120Hz IPS.

Xiaomi satisfies request at the same pricepoint:
People: We need 5G, we need better chipset, etc.

                                  LOL.

On the other hand, Xiaomi's competing within their own variants which simply means, on software development perspective, may the best-selling wins (in update prioritization). If you happen to buy the MTK version, good luck. :)

hell yeah !!! this is the perfect phone for me 😍

Dont make me laugh..chipset isnt the only thing that matters...high chipset with poor specs would give even worse output of phone experience ,its like ferrari engine in a maruti car...nobody cares about one second delay in app load or speed
