Huawei P50 series will be the first to come with HarmonyOS out of the box

The phones recently moved on from HarmonOS 2.0 Beta 2 to Beta 3. Also, Huawei will launch more Petal apps and features.

    So, I'd prefer China (where an average citizen earns more and have better HDI and standard of living) compared to a similar "democratic" country.
    While it is true that rich always get better. But "getting better portion of pie" is different from rich ruling the country

      I don't know where you live but maybe you have never seen what authoritarian govt. does.

      Anyway opinion varies so if you prefer communism to democracy (flawed as per your opinion), its your choice.

      Oh, rich people always get the best portion. Its everywhere. If you think in China it's different, go and see it yourself ( oh, if they allow anyone to).

                        They are not turning their back from the android ecosystem anytime soon. Anything that does not use google services will work on it (99% of things), merely you'd need to use alternative stores and (sometimes) side load... Big fricking deal. I am using AOSP (similar deal) for years, never missed play services, they do not offer anything substantial , a vampire service that makes your battery last less, that is all...

                            how about app support? for example,I don't see any mobile banking,online shopping apps with harmonyOS support. nether netflix,whatsapp,instagram,foursquare,imdb,spotify. OS is useless without such common apps.

You should expect everything to be the same as it uses all Google services as it was before. It's a re-skin to avoid US assaults on their company.
