Apple A6 found to have custom Apple Core instead of A15 or A9

17 September, 2012
It seems Apple went through the trouble of creating their own ARMv7 based design for the A6 chip.

Its simply switching apps. Ios can never achieve what the note 2 can like running a video side by side with other apps. Not even a cydia tweak can do that. Quasar was close enough but no.

Still it is not true multitasking beacuse apps at the backgroud paused. There was this tweak called Quasar that offered windowed apps like in a pc, only problem is the only functional window was the one in the front. Everything else behind it was paused. Cause yeah, ios dont offer true multitasking

Gavin_Is_A_Man, 17 Sep 2012Few people dislike Apple more than I do, but the new iPhone... moreI guess you've hit the nail on the head about the power being relative to the apps that Apple will allow to run. My 4s (which was given to me and my only phone) is just annoying now that I've played with other devices.

I thought I had the best, but I like the customization and hardware flexibility of other devices much more. I want to change. I know everyone raves about the Galaxy, and yes, it is lovely, but a tad too big for me.

Sony is what I always bought, and I still think they have the nicest designs out there, but, no matter what I buy, it will be Android. I'm just tired of that stupid i-Tunes and other restrictions.

I don't favour one manufacturer over another, competition is good for us all, but when spending money, it's important to investigate what you are getting for it and not be swept away by the marketing hype.

Now iPhone's can multitask as good as the other OSes because, THEY LEARNED FROM OTHERS AND ADDED TRUE MULTITASKING TO iOS.

Also iPhones had an aspect ratio which wasted a lot of screen area while watching movies. Nokia(Symbian) and Samsung, HTC etc were already using 16:9 ratio for best utilization for screen area.

NOW APPLE HAS REALIZED THEIR MISTAKE AND FOLLOWED THE OTHERS. YES THEY HAVE 16:9 on iPhone 5.

You can for example watch a video in a minimized window while reading your sms. Bring up the calculator app while at the browser for a quick calculation. Open up notes while still at your email app, to jot down notes. There is no limit. Just check out the note 2 video and youll be impressed. Jeez ppl, multitasking has been invented ages ago, even a windows 95 can do that. Just because a phone refuses to offer that functionality, you are willin to return to medieval ages.
