I will choose 256GB version, it's enough for me.
3.5mm and 10Gbps USB port, that's too great.

PC gaming will be superior than console gaming, wich in turn will be superior to mobile gaming. But regardless of wich platform is the best, haven't even the lower end one (mobile gaming) hit a point were it doesn't need to be superior than anything, because it's already good enough?
This phone here sure outmatches a Switch. A lot of phones did that, as the Switch is essentially a budget low-level midranger without a proper mobile OS, as far as i'm aware.
But, the PS3 and X360, well, not saying this ain't more powerful than these, but take this tought: phones could've maybe hit this treshold of power a little sooner if "we" didn't had this desire to go stick with ultra high resolution displays.
iPhones used to have ultra-low res screens compared to competiton, and delivered good performance not only because they were flagship phones with Apple's flagship processors, but also didn't had to put that much trouble into the GPU with having to render arrays of 2 megapixels of color information, 60 times a second.
And the displays weren't bad because of the enoughly high """retina""" pixel density at all :/
Even the people outside Apple's wallgarden became sorta fine with it after some time.
One might argue that the ROG 5 is still behind the PS4 and X1, but ain't were we are right now, enough for now? It was good even years before the power of the Snapd. 888 came into the hands of consumers. Decent power was - and is - widely availiable, that's not the problem. Like most people don't think of the reason why Android isn't flooded with AAA (or AA, or A) games, with phones having all this power for some time, while iOS devices and the Nintendo Switch kiinda does.
Maybe it's because Android had this early days trauma with game piracy.
Maybe this is the reason most Android games are free with the cost of in-game purchases.
For the most i can hate it, the closed nature of iOS and Nintendo's Horizon is benefitial to the premium gaming factor.

The issue is mobile gaming devs aren't interested in making good games. They're interested in making money printing microtransactions that have a game styled interface to extract money from players.

I go for this or the M 11 Ultra and I'm not a gamer at all... Never played a mobile game, not even once 😃

Asus ROG 3 had 160hz display, not 144hz. No shame in sticking to 160hz.
Touch sampling rate should improve from 270hz to more than 400hz.
