On the iPhone you can just install GMAIL or something like this and, aprox. every app on the google play store (Android) is designed for iOS too but on the Huawei you can't just download them and MAAANY apps aren't available on AppGallery. But the hope that the ban will be removed still remains. Or, at least, all apps to be designed for Huawei's OS and AppGallery.

Plus that thing are a serious security concerns, no Bank would allow if theres a tricky fake app are used on one country. Download banking apps only from Appgallery, if using Huawei non-GMS device, or from the banking website itself.

I bet same would be the case for some streaming apps, like Disney+. For some obscure reasons, the lad still thinks that relying on Google means Google's own apps, which would explain why he said only Google Map isn't working.
Why would one even need to prove to him that an app isn't working well? He and his colleague were telling someone about WhatsApp local backup, because the person, to them, didn't know that local backup exists even before cloud backup on WA, but yet, probably wanted the convenience of a fully functional automatic cloud backup implementation.
For people like "Shui8," you gotta fancy what they fancy, and if they would put up with something, there's simply no reason why you wouldn't, as well. He's full of it!

imagine if huawei puts xenon flash at the p50 series. it would really compete with the 808 pureview and lumia 1020. hell, even a mirrorless camera or dslr.
