But, I am a picky guy when it comes to phones. And if they are expensive, I am even more picky about them, because I paid a premium price for them, so I demand perfection. Lol. And when I am not getting it, or some other company releases something new (that in my eyes is better), I want to try that one too. Besides, there is no better way to judge a phone than to try it yourself for 1-2 weeks at least.

For phones costing close $1K or more, 2 yrs of Android OS Upgrades is not good enough!!
This is partially why the resale value of Android phones are so bad as they age.
Which is a huge contrast to iPhones which Apple supports for 5 years.
Elderly and frugal folks have no interest in replacing $500 plus phones every three years.
After two years the OnePlus 9 series would virtually be worth nothing on the resale market because it would basically be end of life.
Even Samsung stepped up their Android OS upgrade support to 4 years, plus and additional year or two on top of that of quarterly Security Updates.
So around the same price I of a high end OnePlus phone, I can get a modern Samsung or iPhone that will have better resale value, better trade-in value(via the OEM) and most likely better cameras. Hmmm.
Guess my next phone will be a phone from the Galaxy S21, Note 21 or iPhone 13 series.

If you're screen malfunctioned due to manufacturing defect then yes. They won't cover it if you dropped the phone and broke the screen. No standard warranty covers that.

In my country here in Slovakia every electric or electronic device have 2 years of warranty unless brand says othervise.
For example Samsung waschmaschine have 2 years of warranty but motor of that device have 10 years of warranty.
There are tons of examples this is one of them.

On Android, one can choose another phone if the design is not your cup of tea.
No such thing on iOS. Stuck with old boring design from the iPhone X

Good move and i hope it is not country specific.
Also wish they scrap the glossy back panel and put some durable material. It could affect wireless charging. But who cares when wired chargers much faster than wireless & not expensive.

Also, the design of the iPhone isn't everyone's cup of tea. You like it, that's fine. But many of us don't find that attractive.
