The OnePlus 9 phones will come with 2 years of warranty

CEO Pete Lau says that 2 years is how long most flagship buyers keep their phone before upgrading.

I've gotten so used to 2-year long warranties as a standard here, didn't really think that it wasn't the case for the most of the world... Well, good that OP gives 2 years of warranty now.

    What if the condition of phone detoriates during use in the first few days?? Let's say you have a dent or something due to a drop or a screen crack? What then? Will they charge you for that?

Call it rubbish if you want, but that policy makes them better than pretty much any other Android phone maker out there.

            Fine 4 years of updates or gtfoh

              Mi & Sam phones here having 2y warranty with first year accidental damage coverage.

                Not happy with the OnePlus 9 & 9r flat displays. A flat display is a major major deal breaker for me. To those shouting flat flat I'm not clamsy like you when handling the phone. I'm going to be looking at the display a whole lot & cannot afford the souring bezels on the sides. Nowonder most flagships have curved displays including the the same coming oneplus 9 pro. I feel cheated when I pay an exhorbitant price on the flat screen yikes. 🗿

                              Most phones in China have only one year warrenty,some have 18 months(like Redmi note7 series).But you can buy extended warrenty in a low price.(For example,if you buy a Mi11 in Mi store,you need only pay 159CNY/around 20Euros to get another year warrenty,for low end phone like Redmi Note9Pro5G(Mi10T Lite in China),you only pay 49CNY/around 6Euros for one year extend warrenty)

                                They should reveal everything like this. And they should skip the launch event.

                                    Rubbish. They should rename to OverPriced 9.

                                      No it's not worth bragging about, especially when OP has a very bad tracking record for OS and security updates. Because of fans like you OP has gone south, you kept buying their phones and they kept ignoring what the fans want up to the point where we are now. Total garbage.
