That’s the very same panel, used on the Oppo Find X3 series.

Kingslayer, 16 Mar 2021I never saw the big deal with AMOLED displays. I've us... moreI can give you the number of my ophthalmologist. Lol.
But seriously now, Oled displays are way better than LCD ones.
I get what you are trying to say, maybe a very good LCD display can be better sometimes than a poor quality Oled display. But still, color wise and especially when watching videos or movies, there is no question who is better in general.
Of course, when choosing a phone, is not only about display quality, especially nowadays with so many good display phones. But, I will always pick an Oled over an LCD display. Always. Even at 60Hz.

Kingslayer, 16 Mar 2021I never saw the big deal with AMOLED displays. I've us... morePeople think screen type matter more than calibration.
Those pro monitors used by photographer are all LCD.
    With pretty high accuracy.

All this hype over oled is because samsung was the main user.
    The brand that sells more.

Oled has more CONS than PROS.

I never saw the big deal with AMOLED displays. I've used it since the Nexus One. Then got a Samsung Focus, Samsung Galaxy S7, Google Pixel, and currently my Google Pixel 3. I had the Sony Vita 1001 model too.

I don't find OLED true to life colors. It's as if someone kept messing with the tint settings. Samsung has fooled us for 15+ years with their overrated technology that has burn-in and dies faster than LCD. Just marketing propaganda and consumer brainwashing.

        Will this be another 20:9?

The Voice of Reason, 16 Mar 2021OnePlus is the new Apple: "I no longer recommend On... moreMany people know that Oneplus camera quality has always been average. Strangely, Find X2 Pro takes better shots than Oneplus 8 Pro despite having the same camera sensor. Oneplus users buy it for Oxygen OS. I find it weird you didn't mention the pricing of Oneplus phones which should be the reason to not recommend Oneplus phones otherwise it's good.

The Voice of Reason, 16 Mar 2021OnePlus is the new Apple: "I no longer recommend On... moreSome brands do not offer full resolution of quadbaher sensors because photos do end up worse.

When sensor is made, pixels of same colours are neighbors. It does not change.
Full resolution is software based, not hardware.

Full resolution introduces artificats. It never has same quality of Bayer sensor of same resolution and size.
Since pixels are readout together, there is no detail boost. 48MP has performance of 12Mp.

Since the OnePlus One and their "Never Settle" mantra, I always wanted a OnePlus phone. I remember how beautiful the Ferrari red OnePlus 5 was. The problem is what if the phone just dies on me? Where can I go? At least with iPhone, I can walk into any Apple Store and have it fixed.

My iPhone SE1 can lose so much capacity from its original battery but I can still go to any Apple Store and be in and out with a new battery that can be used for the next 2 to 3 years. And a battery replacement only costs $35 from a 3rd party repair shop and $49 from Apple which uses OEM and lasts longer.

I'm getting old. I just want the peace of mind and convenience. I don't have time to screw around with a screwdriver and pentalobe screws. And OnePlus never really made a compact phone. Samsung and China were obsessed offering us these surfboard phones the last 7+ years.

Yeah, making an expensive high quality display just to waste it all by putting a hole in it.
Haters gonna hate, but dead pixels are dead pixels, and they were never desired by any rational person.

Anonymous, 16 Mar 2021Stop advertising xiaomi phones. I see ur comment in each an... moreHahahha..! You are right! I observed this too.

Chinese brand and made in China are two different meanings. Again, I don't mess with a Chinese brand. I have a Xiaomi Mi 3. Been with me since July 19, 2014. I would never sell it. But what I hate from it is the iTunes-like software called Mi Suite. My MacBook can't run that software. It's why I also avoid Huawei.

When I get a phone, I don't want software like that. I want it to connect to my computer without needing to open bloatware like that. And another issue with Chinese brands: Where can I go if I need it fixed or want to replace the battery? Most repair shops here in the States don't do stuff for Chinese brands.

Most of us for better or for worse here in the States are stuck with three choices: iPhone, Galaxy, or Pixel. Beyond those three and it's beyond repair. Just to replace a battery on an HTC One (M8) would cost me $129.99 at uBreakiFixit. Stick to common brands for easier battery replacements.

Why are you saying that QHD+ and 1440p are mislabeled? 2K is the mislabeled buzzword. It says nothing about what resolution the phone has. 4K is a term describing how many pixels are in the horizontal direction. Now 2K would be able 2 thousand pixels, but QHD+ screens have about 3 thousand pixels, so how does the 2K make sense? It's a misused made up term to sound good for marketing purposes. Quad HD or QHD and 1440p are way more descriptive than 2K.

                              one plus 9 curved dispay?

Google's computational photography is there by default. I just avoid the ones manufactured by HTC which were the first gens and the smaller 2. The first gens had a motherboard issue and call issue. Typical Taiwanese crap.

People crap on LG all the time and they do deserve some hatred. But from my personal experience, their Nexus 4 and 5 were fine. Their G5 and V20 were fine. In fact, the much maligned LG G5 is my favorite smartphone ever. Typing on mine right now.

I don't mess with Chinese. All spyware like TikTok. As if Google doesn't spy on us already.
