YUKI93, 20 Mar 2021"...so stop telling people to go for an overpriced pho... moreyaa you are true

JayCube26, 20 Mar 2021What about Europe? It would be best seller if the price was... moreBut so will the higher variants of OnePlus 9. People go for Xiaomi or Realme in India because they are not used to paying so much for a phone. Also, it might be out of their budget. Europe is different in that aspect. You guys have better wage laws and earn more than an average Indian, if I have to be specific. So maybe OnePlus knows most will be willing to pay for a normal OnePlus 9 or Pro. In India, even those willing might choose a Xiaomi since it's in their budget. Just trying to explain there are many factors. Also it's 'if it succeeds in India, it's likely to succeed everywhere' thinking.

salarx, 18 Mar 2021It's a competitive market. Rog Phone sells here for €5... moreWhat about Europe? It would be best seller if the price was about 500€. It just doesn't make sense, why they're launching it only in India...

Shady69, 19 Mar 2021not everyone that buys phones cares about software updates,... more"...so stop telling people to go for an overpriced phone just because it has more updates"

That is why Xiaomi phones are so cheap, they never bother about giving updates in the first place. It feels as if Xiaomi loves planned obsolescence so much that they won't stop producing new phones every single day. To be brutally honest for me, I'd rather pay more for a real quality phone with real longevity instead of buying a cheap phone that will get instantly outdated in six months time.

If Powered with sd690 as rumours say then I ain't interested

Anonymous, 19 Mar 2021People should, given they have their entire lives on phones... moreNot one single case of someone losing their entire life because of outdated software.
Yet people privacy gets compromised every time all the while having up to date security updates and OS.

Anonymous, 19 Mar 2021Both are overpriced. Redmi note 10 pro kill both from specs... moreYea, but I like my updates which Xiaomi has let me down. Plus no ads in the other phones and I prefer samsungs aftersales services.

Shady69, 19 Mar 2021not everyone that buys phones cares about software updates,... morePeople should, given they have their entire lives on phones. Running outdated software is just terrible idea. And there is hundreds of millions of devices that still run stuff like Marshmallow or Nougat...

Anonymous, 18 Mar 2021Im from Europe and my workplace is full OP phones...Do you work on your own then? 🤣🤣

YUKI93, 19 Mar 2021Lol please, not that MIUI junk. At least with the A52 and A... morenot everyone that buys phones cares about software updates, doesn't matter if its os updates or security ones, so stop telling people to go for an overpriced phone just because it has more updates. instead tell them if they care too much about software updates go for the higher priced one.

Garriz, 19 Mar 2021Nope. Globally oneplus would launch 9r with different name... moreLol

Who on Earth needs 5G in India now? And if it's budget, I'm willing to bet it's gonna be a disappointment just like the Nord.

Anonymous, 19 Mar 2021Both are overpriced. Redmi note 10 pro kill both from specs... moreLol please, not that MIUI junk. At least with the A52 and A72, Samsung provides three major OS update and four years of the security update. Try that on a Xiaomi phone without resorting to custom ROM community.

YUKI93, 19 Mar 2021Lol, India only? Really? Is OnePlus doing a Xiaomi move here?Nope. Globally oneplus would launch 9r with different name maybe Nord 2. It's just a marketing strategy.

[deleted post]Lol dude, do you know that OnePlus is the most popular premium brands in India? More Indians would pay for a flagship OnePlus rather than a flagship Xiaomi.
