Anonymous, 19 Mar 2021Or the fact most people charge phones over night. What good... moreI think it is not useful to overgeneralise with such statements. For example, I don't charge overnight and I don't know anyone who still does exactly because when you own a recent handset, there is no need to do so. In fact, most of the people I know charge their phones with their fast charger in the evening and use it in bed watching videos etc.
Based on my (and my social cycle's) experience, overnight charging stopped being the norm in the last 2-3 years.

Anonymous, 19 Mar 2021Or the fact most people charge phones over night. What good... moreCharging overnight is just a dumb idea. My s5 mini from 2014 is full in one hour, so why would you charge overnight. I'd rather have it full in 30 mins instead.

What good is fast charging there, except just to deteriorate battery even more? It charges it to 100% in first hour and then it would sit ~7 hours at 100%. That's terrible for battery.

Apple makes laptops.
Samsung makes laptops and other electronics with batteries.
Sony used to make laptops, has a robot dog and electric car (called Vision S).
Ignorants say they do not know how to handle more than 50W. LOL !!!!!

Anonymous, 19 Mar 2021Stop spreading misinformation. Sony, Apple and Samsung don&... moreKinda agree. Apple want to make the cheapest device possible and sell for the highest price possible. Fast charging tech would cut into their profits too much. It's easier for them to just be a few years behind and implement it once the price drops.

Anonymous, 19 Mar 2021Macbook Pro uses more than 50W. You think Apple does not ... moreSony and Apple phones have regularly exploded because of poor quality components inside. Apple decreases your battery through hardware as well as software then charges a premium to replace it.

SathishKannan, 19 Mar 2021Bro, you are trying to change ingredients of cooked cookies... moreSony, Apple batteries cooked might have same base ingredients but cooking methods and additives are different which make the final product different. A small difference in chemical structure makes normal steel stainless steel. Same here. Chinese are pioneers in it. Lowee class companies like Apple don't care about users. Wait a few years they'll launch 100W charging and charge 200$ extra for it as charging not included in box

Samaparr, 19 Mar 2021I care. You can stay in the stone age whilst we all live in... moreFunny that, I don't want anything more than a 50W charging rate. It only makes the battery heat up and degrades faster. That is why Sony, Apple, and Google never embrace super fast charging. Heck, even 40W feels already too much to me.

What about Ampere vs Volts?? There is serious degrees of difference between charging technologies especially from the leader oppo
Add to the fact where it's charging from like MMT charging etc

Anonymous, 19 Mar 2021Yep, when vendors are releasing phones with 120w charging, ... moreYeah but the thing is that for 120w charging they have to use two separate batteries to manage heat, which means they have to use double the power to charge these 2.......sooo the 120w charging is actually 60w per battery.
And why is faster than 65w then?
Well because the 120w generates less heat than 65w with its two batteries. Because of heat throttling the 65w charges at something like 40w on average. And the 120w aka 2x 60w at something like 50w per battery.
