It has lots of bugs at the launch and then get solved over the updates(Software was one of the best in One Plus 3T and One Plus 5T,now they are failing in this too). Price has increased over the years but not the innovation and extra features compared to counterparts. 30Watt Charging was present in Realme too now so what's the distinct features One Plus is offering?(Realme offered 50Watt fast charging with Realme X2 Pro and software support was good too compared to One Plus 7T). No camera improvement over the years when sister company making leaps and bounds improvements in camera department. Vivo is not slouch too(Vivo V17 Pro has one of the best camera in midrange segment now Poco X3 has best camera setup). Why you need to change the design of One Plus 7 Pro when it was well received by consumers? I simply don't understand. No device in 350-450 USD anymore. No launch yet with snapdragon 870 powered device.

Provision for unlocking bootloader a... moreIf hardcore tech enthusiasts are the only target consumer that would make sense, but if a phone company wants to simply "succeed" then they wouldn't have to have a stock Android skin let alone an unlockable bootloader.

I think Chinese consumers demand more features and Hydrogen OS is a little behind competitors in that regard. A rebranded Color OS might be more popular although it could alienate some of their existing customers

The Android Freak, 19 Mar 2021How about Oxygen OS like skin? Oneplus using Hydrogen OS in China,basiclly it is a Oxygen OS with some pre installed Chinese APP and remove pre install Google Store(still have GMS)
But it is not welcomed in China too(at least for most users)
Oneplus plan to use a rebrand Color OS(like Realme UI) on new oneplus 9 series phone in China.

When you go to the average consumer and tell you want they want in a phone, stock android won't be one of them. What sold Huawei to people are features, like cameras on their previous phones, build quality, and extensive marketing. OnePlus did this in 2013 and it's now one of the best known phone brands in the world.

Battery was better on One Plus devices for sure. Rooting and custom roms are important if one wants to use it for three years atleast. It needs to be there. Custom roms these days are far better than stock skins.

one advise: step by step honor, dont too confidence. if u can surpass huawei thats great but if u cant please dont make any excuse.

China will be their largest market by far and stock Android is really unpopular there. I'm using basically stock android on the moto edge s now and it sucks. Missing so many useful features that brands like Xiaomi, Honor and Oppo have.
