20 March 2021
The tool will try to automatically detect what phone you are using so that you can jump straight to the specs.

RC255, 20 Mar 2021Seems quite pointless. Even your photos show it isn't ... more"This is obviously not going to be much use to our regular readers, but it's something your less tech-savvy friends and family can use."

Great! The dark mode is hugely welcome!

The other one didn't work for me 100% correctly, through. Detected my phone to be G8, while I'm using the G8x instead. Please fix that.

      Very helpful very accurate 🤠

Also don't forget it may show wrong results if you're using a custom rom. In my case I'm using a ported One ui 2.5 on my S7 edge, but the result shows it's a galaxy s9+(which is phone the rom I'm using is based on anyway haha).

This would be quite useful for casual smartphone user who just wanted to confirm what their phone is, and look its specifications. One thing that I think is kinda weird... UI wise, it's not very obvious if you're looking for casual user to use the tool.

Maybe outside of the hamburger menu with eye catching colour of the button for "What is my phone?" or "What is my phone model?" or something.
If I didn't read this article, I would never know what those buttons means and definitely would haver never tried it.

Seems quite pointless. Even your photos show it isn't as easy as opening the browser. There are so many different variants of certain phones. If your page then brings up each one (which your photos show) all they know is the model, which they will likely know anyway since they bought the phone. It comes in a box. You may as well have provided instructions on how to check the 'about phone' tab in their settings. That'll be more accurate too.
