It has no leg, no arm, no base.
Just like the average user doesn't care about Custom ROM, he/she doesn't care about having the latest version of Android or security updates. Phone works fine without these.
Updates (Android version or security updates) are highly overrated and are used as a marketing ploy by manufacturers, sometimes convincing buyers to buy a newer inferior phone over an older superior phone, citing that the newer phone will get one more version of Android.

Some of them are hidden in security or theme app.
It's Samsung's app that can't be disabled that easily, you have to uncheck a few things which is only possible when setting up the phone.

Samsung with lack of specs in budget segment can't compete with Chinese brands.
Specs do matter. You can't make helio G80 compete with Snapdragon 860/870, no matter how good the Optimization.
